Chapter 194 Doubt Again
Fiorello and Adalia walked together, often mistaken for father and daughter.
When the two smiled, they looked very alike.
Fiorello smiled and said, "Adalia eats well at school, her face has filled out, she looks really good when she smiles, and she's growing up to be a beauty."
Maggie propped her chin with one hand, flipping through videos, full of anticipation. "Daughters are always considerate, Fiorello. Let's have a daughter in the future, too."
"Okay."
Seeing Maggie's joyful expression, Fiorello felt a bit uneasy.
Because he could foresee Maggie's disappointment.
Maggie regretted, "Mr. Wright didn't agree to us adopting Adalia. Otherwise, Adalia could have lived with us; I really like Adalia."
But in the current situation, Maggie was still somewhat satisfied; at least Adalia could go to school now and no longer suffer like before from Susan's abuse.
"Do you want to rest for a while?" Fiorello gently touched Maggie's forehead, saying, "Take your medicine, rest for a while, it's good for recovery."
Maggie was indeed a bit tired. "Then I'll rest for a while."
Maggie handed the phone back to Fiorello, took the medicine, lay down next to Fiorello, and hugged Fiorello's waist with both hands.
Perhaps due to the medication, Maggie fell asleep very quickly.
Fiorello kept his original posture, his hand resting on Maggie's shoulder, gently patting.
The luckiest thing for Fiorello was when Maggie woke up.
After Maggie woke up from her nap, it was already dark outside. Maggie was living a life with reversed day and night; besides sleeping, there was nothing else to do.
When Maggie woke up, Fiorello was not in the ward; Arya was quietly preparing soup on the side.
Seeing Maggie awake, Arya smiled. "Did I wake you up?"
"No." Maggie asked, "Where's Fiorello?"
"Fiorello has something to attend to, he said he's going out for a bit; he'll be back soon." Arya handed the chicken soup to Maggie, saying, "Fiorello has been taking care of you in the hospital for a month without working; must have delayed a lot of work."
Maggie drank the chicken soup, remembering a dream that seemed very real; she looked at Arya and said, "Mommy, when I was in the operating room, I had a dream that someone gave birth to a baby girl."
At that time, Maggie was in a state of confusion and blurred consciousness; she was not sure if it was real or not.
Upon hearing this, Arya's hand paused slightly as she packed up the thermos, and she smiled. "Maggie, are you thinking about having a child with Fiorello? That's a good idea. When you're fully recovered and discharged, you can have a child, and I'll help you take care of the child in the future."
Fiorello had instructed the doctor about Maggie's possible infertility that could not be known by anyone, so neither Arya nor Eleanor knew, and Maggie herself was unaware.
"Okay."
Maggie also wondered if she was too eager to have a child with Fiorello, which led to such a dream.
Having been in a coma for so long, when she carefully thought about that dream, there were very few memories left of it.
What Maggie could remember was the crying of a baby and the uncomfortable feeling in her heart.
Whether it was a dream or reality, Maggie couldn't tell.
But she felt lucky to be alive.
Maggie and Arya were chatting when Isabella and Olivia came in with supplements.
Maggie sat up. "Olivia, Isabella."
Olivia quickly said, "Lie down and rest; no need to sit up."
Due to Isabella's divorce, Olivia was no longer as arrogant as before, and she appeared much kinder.
Isabella asked, "Maggie, are you feeling better?"
"Much better." Maggie was optimistic. "I'm really lucky to be alive."
Olivia said, "Maggie, your future life will be even luckier."
Maggie smiled. "Thank you."
Isabella also said, "You really worried Arya this time, she aged a lot, but now that you're awake and fine, it's all good."
Arya smiled on the side, "It's all in the past. Forget about it."
Maggie had also noticed that Arya had aged a lot.
She had caused Arya a lot of worry.
At that moment, Isabella's phone rang, and Isabella said, "I'll go out to take a call."
After Isabella left, Olivia frowned and said, "James, that despicable man, missed the first court appearance, just dragging things out like this."
