Chapter 296 Mr. Flores' True Identity
Farrell's hands had touched Maggie, so there was no need to keep them.
Fiorello gave the order and carried Maggie downstairs.
It was only then that Maggie noticed Fiorello was not alone. Behind him were six men dressed in black suits and pants, with stern expressions, resembling bodyguards from a movie.
Before they reached the ground floor, Maggie heard Farrell's agonizing screams piercing through the entire apartment building, followed by another scream, and then a chilling silence.
Once outside the apartment building, Maggie finally realized where she was.
This was the most rundown area of Cyberland, and in front of these dilapidated low-rise buildings, several luxury cars were parked, led by the Rolls-Royce she had ridden in before.
Next to the luxury cars were eight more bodyguards standing in perfect formation. Maggie had only seen such a scene in movies.
The car lights illuminated the narrow, dark alley, making the luxurious cars look completely out of place in the surroundings.
"Fiorello, Maggie."
Holden's voice pulled Maggie out of her thoughts.
Maggie glanced at Holden, then at Fiorello, memories of Farrell's words swirling in her mind, deepening her confusion.
Fiorello's voice was cold. "Open the car door."
Holden quickly opened the car door. Fiorello carefully placed Maggie inside, crouching at her feet to gently untie the ropes around her hands and feet.
The eight bodyguards and Holden waited outside the luxury car.
Maggie looked at the people outside the car door with a face full of confusion. At this moment, Brian came down from the apartment building with the bodyguards from earlier.
Through the car window, Maggie saw Farrell being dragged into another car by two bodyguards, leaving a trail of bright red blood.
Farrell's hands were missing their palms.
Fiorello had really ordered Farrell's hands to be chopped off.
Maggie's eyes narrowed slightly as she looked down at Fiorello in front of her. "Who exactly are you?"
After asking this, Maggie felt a bit pathetic. She had shared a bed with her husband for so long, yet she didn't know who he was.
Fiorello looked up and reached out to touch her head gently, just as he always did, without any change.
"We'll talk about it when we get home."
Maggie asked, "What do you plan to do with Farrell?"
Fiorello glanced deeply in the direction where Farrell was being dragged away and said, "Illegal detention, kidnapping, the law will naturally punish him."
Maggie didn't ask any more questions. The car started, but it wasn't heading back to Cityhomes West. Instead, it was heading towards the wealthy villa district of Cyberland. Finally, several luxury cars drove grandly into a villa.
The gate slowly opened automatically, and the car drove into the villa.
When the car stopped, Maggie looked out the car window at the palace-like luxurious villa, feeling as if she were dreaming.
She asked, "Where is this?"
"This is our home." Fiorello no longer hid the truth. He got out of the car, walked around to Maggie's side, and carried her out of the car, striding into the villa and up to the second floor.
The bodyguards all waited on the first floor, and Holden didn't even come upstairs.
As they passed through, Maggie was continuously shocked.
The villa's level of luxury could only be described as extravagant. The enormous crystal chandelier reflected opulence, and the paintings on the walls were all world-famous artworks. Any single ornament was worth millions of dollars.
The largest master bedroom on the second floor was bigger than the three-bedroom apartment at Cityhomes West. Outside the huge floor-to-ceiling windows lay a sprawling sky garden and an open-air swimming pool that spoke of extravagance.. The view was stunning.
Maggie was dumbfounded. She stood on the viewing balcony, overlooking the garden that was almost the size of two football fields, then turned her gaze to him.
"That day, the person who met me at Mocha Haven Cafe wasn't you, was it?" Maggie asked.
