Chapter 553 Timothy is the Guardian Angel
Maggie sneered, "You brought everyone here, and now you say this? Don't you find it ridiculous? Cut the crap, either sign or call a shareholders' meeting."
Timothy thought of Melissa's instructions before he left and suppressed his anger, saying, "I also have a supplementary agreement. After you take Dad away today, you must never again have any designs on the Jackson Group. While giving up your inheritance rights, you must also give up any claim to the Jackson family assets."
Maggie succinctly replied, "So, everything about the Jackson family has nothing to do with me."
"Correct." Timothy had the lawyer bring out the agreement.
Maggie signed without hesitation; she had anticipated all of this.
Timothy was a bit stunned. Are there really people in this world who aren't greedy for money?
Maggie could have taken a portion of the money just by being a child of the Jackson family, not to mention the stock transfer agreement.
Timothy couldn't understand, but since Maggie signed, he could report back to Melissa.
Timothy took the signed agreement and left without even glancing at Mark.
Melissa was waiting in the car at the hotel entrance. When she saw Timothy come out, she asked, "Timothy, did it work?"
"She signed." Timothy got into the car. "Melissa, take a look."
Melissa glanced at it and felt reassured. "Maggie is no longer Fiorello's wife or the mistress of Visionary Futures Group. Now that she's taking Dad back, he's just a burden. Watch; she'll eventually get tired and send him back. Timothy, you need to stabilize the company."
Timothy said indifferently, "Isn't that what Melissa and Zachary White are for? The company will be fine."
Melissa sternly replied, "Timothy, Zachary's last name is White. In the future, don't always go to Zachary for everything. Remember, your last name is Jackson. The company is Jackson, not White."
"Melissa, Zachary has loved us since we were kids. Can't we trust him?" Timothy felt that Melissa had changed a lot since she got better.
Melissa said with a deeper meaning, "Timothy, who in this world can you really rely on? You have to fight for what you want. For so many years, Dad has been under the control of the White family. It seems like the White family is helping the Jackson Group, but in reality, they want to control it completely. Mom was ignorant and couldn't see clearly, which is the real reason for her and Dad's broken marriage—people's hearts were not united."
Timothy was taken aback. "Melissa, how do you know so much? Why don't I know any of this?"
"From now on, it's just the two of us, Timothy. I'll help you make the company better and better."
Timothy scratched his head. "Melissa, I don't understand any of this. From now on, whatever you say, I'll do. You're the real decision-maker in the company."
Melissa looked at Timothy. She knew him too well—kind-hearted, impulsive, easily deceived.
Melissa said, "Timothy, I want the Jackson Group to become a company that can rival Visionary Futures Group in five years."
"Melissa, did I hear you right?" Timothy thought he must have misheard. "That's Visionary Futures Group we're talking about."
"Why not?" Melissa retorted. "Timothy, don't you have confidence?"
Timothy chuckled awkwardly. "I never thought about it. Melissa, I don't want you to overwork yourself. Even though you've recovered, the doctor said you shouldn't overexert yourself."
"Timothy, how have you been feeling lately?"
Timothy laughed, "I'm a man, strong and healthy. It's nothing, just bone marrow."
Timothy didn't tell the truth. Ever since he donated his bone marrow, his immune system had weakened, and he felt significantly worse.
Melissa asked, "Timothy, do you regret it?"
"Fool." Timothy ruffled Melissa's hair, just like when they were kids, doting on her. "Even if I had to do it again, I'd still give you my bone marrow, willingly."
The word "willingly" held another layer of meaning, but Melissa didn't catch it.
Timothy wasn't very smart, but he wasn't so foolish that he couldn't see anything.
Timothy knew that Melissa had used familial affection to deceive him into giving his bone marrow so she could survive.
But even if he had to do it again, he would still save Melissa without hesitation. She was his only sister. Their parents might let her die, but he couldn't.
He was willing to give everything for Melissa, to be her guardian angel.
