Chapter 265 Surveillance

The mastermind was Jenny, again.

She just didn't want Fiorello to marry Maggie. Considering her wealth and status, Maggie wasn't the right match for Fiorello.

Since Kathy's plan didn't work out, Jenny came up with another way.

Jenny, on the phone, heard that it was successful and said triumphantly, "Rest assured, I won't treat you unfairly. This matter must be kept confidential."

"Understood," the woman replied,

Cyberland.

Maggie sat alone on the sofa in the living room. She calmed down a lot and began to think carefully about the photos.

What she can be sure of now was that the other party knew she existed, deliberately trying to sow discord.

She hadn't seen Fiorello with too many friends before, and the two of them didn't invite relatives and friends for a feast; they just got a marriage certificate. She knew that those who knew about their marriage were close acquaintances.

A close acquaintance, but hostile her…

Maggie thought carefully, and she quickly thought of one person, Jenny.

Although the woman in the photo wasn't Jenny, Maggie guessed that this matter must be related to Jenny.

The woman in the photo didn't have outstanding looks, and Maggie believed that Fiorello wouldn't be interested in such a woman.

From the photo, Fiorello seemed drunk, which could very well have given someone an opportunity.

Thinking of this, Maggie carefully looked at the photo again and noticed a bedside table with a warm reminder card in the photo, with the hotel's name written on it.

Maggie zoomed in on the photo and read, "Velvet Sky Retreat."

She immediately searched for the Velvet Sky Retreat in Sunshine Bay City online and found it.

Maggie navigated the route from Cyberland to Sunshine Bay City, a three-hour drive.

In marital relationships, women were usually like Sherlock Holmes, able to deduce the truth from subtle clues.

Knowing Fiorello's location, Maggie made a crazy decision.

She was going to Sunshine Bay City to find Fiorello.

It was now half past eleven at night, and if she drove there, she wouldn't arrive in Sunshine Bay City until around three in the morning.

Anyway, she would worry all night and struggle to sleep. Maggie chose to go to Sunshine Bay City alone.

Maggie changed her clothes, picked up the keys to the Chevrolet that Fiorello left at home, and said goodbye to Arya. To avoid Arya's suspicions, she could only lie and say she was going to Dulce.

Maggie drove alone to the Velvet Sky Retreat in Sunshine Bay City.

There were few cars on the road at night, Maggie drove at high speed the whole way, because she was thinking about the photo, she was mentally alert and not tired at all.

When she was a hundred miles away from Sunshine Bay City, Maggie took a break at a service area on the highway and bought some snacks and coffee to replenish her energy.

As she returned to her car, she passed by a large truck parked at the service area and heard the sounds of a man and a woman making love from inside the truck.

Maggie felt awkward; she didn't want to eavesdrop on such sounds. As she quickly walked away, she heard the woman in the truck say, "Next time, you have to take me with you."

"Whether I take you or not, I will never bring my wife from home," the man said. "Darling, I miss you so much. Every time I go out during these three years, I bring you with me. After this time, I'll buy you a necklace."

"Thank you, dear."

Then, there was another round of intense sounds.

Maggie, who was passing by, felt a bit chilly listening to it, feeling sorry for the truck driver's wife.

She had heard before that men who drove outside or worked on construction sites were the most likely to cheat.

On construction sites, those posing as husband and wife, driving trucks to deliver goods with beautiful women aboard, ninety percent of them are not wives but rather extramarital partners.

Men couldn't stand loneliness the most.

Maggie got back into the car and took a sip of coffee, feeling a bit nervous. If she drove over three hundred miles and really saw Fiorello with another woman in bed, she didn't know what she would do.
