Chapter 266 Midnight Surprise

Maggie took a deep breath, drank a sip of water, and started the car to leave the rest area.

As she passed a large truck, Maggie deliberately honked the horn. She couldn't stand men who cheated, but she couldn't do anything about it, so she just honked to startle them.

The honking indeed startled the man and woman making love in the truck. The man nervously looked up, only to see a car quickly entering the highway.

At three in the morning, Maggie arrived at the Velvet Sky Retreat in Sunshine Bay City.

Feeling tired, she stretched her body and then walked into the hotel.

It was so late that the front desk staff were dozing off.

Maggie tapped the front desk to wake them up.

Upon seeing a guest, the front desk staff immediately perked up and asked, "Do you have a reservation?"

"Could you please check which room Mr. Flores is staying in?" Maggie smiled and said, "I'm his sister, here to deliver some clothes. Once I'm done, I'll leave. I called him, but no one answered. Thank you."

Maggie didn't dare to say she was Fiorello's wife, as the front desk staff would surely think she was there to monitor him, causing trouble, and wouldn't disclose guest information.

The front desk staff glanced at Maggie. In this position, they had seen many troublemakers and couldn't let their guard down.

"Hello, we have a policy that we can't disclose guest information. If you make another call and get the guest's permission, then we can allow you up."

"Alright," Maggie forced a smile and said, "I'll leave the clothes with you. Please help deliver them to Mr. Flores."

After giving instructions, Maggie added, "May I use your restroom?"

As she spoke, Maggie headed towards the restroom, but in reality, she deliberately waited around the corner. She waited until the staff brought the clothes she had handed over to them upstairs, then she walked to the elevator to check which floor it stopped at.

Fifteenth floor.

Fiorello was staying on the fifteenth floor.

Maggie immediately took the nearby elevator up. When she emerged from the elevator, she coincidentally heard the front desk knocking on a room door to deliver the clothes.

Because it was so late, the entire floor was quiet, and every sound was audible.

Maggie peeked around the corner to see where the front desk staff was, confirming the room number Fiorello was staying in.

In fact, if such behavior had been placed in the past, Maggie wouldn't have bothered to do so, but now she really did.

When loving someone, the feeling nervous and cautious would follow suit.

Maggie listened at the corner to Fiorello's conversation with the front desk staff.

Fiorello refused the clothes brought by the front desk and spoke coldly. Being woken up in the middle of the night would irritate anyone.

Not knowing the clothes were from Maggie, he simply closed the door.

The front desk staff felt helpless but had to leave with the clothes.

After the staff left, Maggie emerged from the corner and arrived at the door of Fiorello's room.

Inside the room.

Fiorello, who was already drunk and had a headache, was in a bad mood after being woken up.

He pinched his brow, poured himself a glass of water, and was about to go back to bed when the doorbell rang again.

Fiorello's frustration surged, and after taking a deep breath, he turned to open the door, ready to reprimand the hotel staff. However, upon seeing the person at the door, he was stunned, and the reprimand died on his lips.

Maggie stood at the door, smiling, and said, "Sir, do you need special service?"

Fiorello laughed, all his previous unhappiness vanished. He pulled Maggie into the room and closed the door behind her, eager to kiss her passionately.
