Chapter 431 Sowing Discord

Jenny rushed to the countryside the night, following Kimberly.

Kimberly was in her villa's yard, crying, with two friends comforting her.

Through tears, Kimberly cursed, "My granddaughter-in-law is so ungrateful. She's bewitched Fiorello. He used to listen to me, and now he's me sent back here. It's all her doing!"

Her two elderly friends, well-versed in neighborhood gossip, nodded.

These small issues in the countryside were usually blown out of proportion, with new gossip every day.

They consoled Kimberly, "Don't get worked up. Take care of yourself, or she'll win. We've lived long enough; we can't let a young girl beat us."

"Exactly. Stay a few days, and we'll figure something out. We can outsmart her."

"Didn't you say the child isn't your grandson? Once it's born, a paternity test will show the truth."

Kimberly fumed, "No way is someone else's child joining the Flores family. I'd be ashamed even in death."

Just then, car lights flashed outside the yard.

Jenny's voice called out, "Kimberly, I'm here to see you!"

Jenny cheerfully called from outside, carrying some things.

Kimberly, surprised and delighted, asked, "Jenny, why are you here so late?"

Leaning on her cane, Kimberly opened the gate.

Jenny smiled, "I heard you were sent back here and felt bad for you. I came to comfort you."

Kimberly felt warm inside, holding Jenny's hand with teary eyes. "Jenny, you're so good to me."

Kimberly had initially liked Jenny to drive away Maggie, but now she genuinely cared for her.

Feeling low, Kimberly found comfort in Jenny's visit.

Seeing Kimberly so moved, Jenny felt a cold sneer inside.

Kimberly brought Jenny in, and the two elderly friends left.

Jenny stayed with Kimberly, who grew more fond of her. "Jenny, I really like you."

"Kimberly, I feel close to you too. You're like my own grandmother," Jenny said, beaming.

Kimberly held Jenny's hand and suddenly asked, "Jenny, what do you think of Gregory?"

Jenny caught Kimberly's drift, a hint of malice in her eyes.

Kimberly liked her but wanted to push her towards the Flores family's illegitimate son. As a Holmes, Jenny couldn't marry an illegitimate son.

Pretending to be hurt, Jenny said, "Kimberly, Gregory and I are a misunderstanding. I want to marry Fiorello. Don't you care about me? Won't you help me?"

"But aren't you with Gregory?" Kimberly asked. "I care about you. How about becoming my granddaughter-in-law? I'll bring Gregory back, and you'll be the rightful granddaughter-in-law of the Flores family."

Jenny's face paled. Kimberly wanted her to marry Gregory.

Changing the subject, Jenny said, "Grandma, Fiorello respects you. Why did he send you back here? Did Maggie say something?"

"Of course, it was her. That vixen Maggie has bad intentions. She drove a wedge between Fiorello and me and had me sent out of Cyberland," Kimberly fumed. "Maggie wants to fight me? She's too weak."

Jenny casually mentioned, "Maggie's five months pregnant, right? The baby's already formed. I heard her health isn't good, and they'll do a C-section at seven months. The baby will be the first great-grandchild of yours, and Maggie will become even more arrogant. Kimberly, will you still be able to return to the Flores Mansion?"

Jenny's words were powerful, pushing Kimberly to act and deepening her hatred for Maggie.
