Chapter 535 Curiosity
Jenny's action shocked the guests.
Walking ahead, Gregory didn't notice what was happening behind him. Joseph shouted in panic, "Gregory, watch out!"
Gregory turned around at the sound, and at that moment, the jewelry in Jenny's hand had already stabbed into his chest.
"Gregory, go to hell, you bastard."
The crowd gasped, momentarily forgetting to react. Fiorello frowned, holding Maggie tightly.
Holden was also worried for Gregory.
Kevin had already lost hope; Jenny just couldn't keep her cool.
Gregory looked down at the jewelry on his chest and sneered, "You're really stupid. You've watched too many TV dramas. Do you think a piece of jewelry can hurt me? You should get your brain checked at the hospital."
Gregory's words were arrogant and sarcastic, but they were true.
Maggie, who made jewelry, knew that the other end of the jewelry was usually designed to be smooth and rounded to prevent injuries.
With two layers of clothing in between, it would be strange if it could pierce the skin.
The atmosphere was very tense, but Gregory's words made the crowd laugh.
Jenny didn't hurt Gregory and had her jewelry taken away by him. Considering her pregnancy, he wasn't too violent, just indifferent and dismissive.
Fiorello's men immediately stepped forward to restrain Jenny.
Maggie whispered, "I guess I've watched too many TV dramas too. I was really scared just now."
Even though she made jewelry and knew it couldn't hurt people, she was still nervous in that atmosphere.
At that moment, the sound of police sirens came from outside. The police had arrived.
Fiorello held Maggie's hand and said, "Let's go. Leave the rest to the police."
The case was handled by Francis.
Francis arrived with four colleagues and Dulce.
Maggie and Fiorello walked to the door and saw Dulce, which surprised Maggie.
Maggie called out, "Dulce, what are you doing here?"
Dulce had no idea it was Gregory and Jenny's wedding until she saw Maggie and realized it.
Dulce pointed at Francis inside and complained, "He brought me here. Francis is so cruel. I wasn't even fully awake this morning when he dragged me to solve a case. He treats me like a police dog. If I refuse, he says I'm not cooperating and not a good person, and he'll make me listen to a lecture. He only feeds me cafeteria food. It's too awful."
Maggie couldn't help but laugh. "You seem pretty happy to do it."
Dulce said, "I'm not happy."
"Dulce, we need to go," Francis said, quickly wrapping things up. Have a colleague handcuff Jenny and escort her to the police car. As they leave, he urged Dulce to leave.
Dulce instinctively responded, "Coming."
"Maggie, I have to go. My mode of transportation is now a police car. Cool, right? Impressive?" Dulce was really optimistic.
Maggie laughed. "You have a great attitude. Go on."
Dulce ran to catch up with Francis and got into the police car.
After the police car took Jenny away, Maggie asked Fiorello, "Do you have some kind of conflict with Francis?"
A woman's intuition wasvery sharp. When Francis passed by earlier, he didn't greet her but gave Fiorello a strange look.
Francis had once said something strange to her, saying she was actually Fiorello's woman.
That statement had a lot of implications.
"Yes," Fiorello said as he got into the car with Maggie, "We went to the same high school. He liked a girl who liked me."
Maggie really shouldn't have asked. She didn't expect something like this.
Since she had already asked, Maggie decided to get to the bottom of it. "What happened then? What about the girl?"
"The girl got married and now has a child in elementary school."
"That's it?" Maggie was a bit disappointed. She thought the news wasn't shocking enough.
"Yeah," Fiorello said. "It's been over ten years. I haven't had any contact with Francis. We met him here was purely coincidental. What do you want to eat tonight? My treat."
"Is this a celebration?" Maggie looked at him and hesitated, "I want to visit the child's grave. Is that okay?"
