Chapter 672 Difficult Labor
Fiorello's heart was instantly filled with panic, but he didn't dare show it. He immediately pressed the call button and comforted Maggie, "It's okay, lie down, don't be afraid, I'm here."
Fiorello covered her with the blanket again, not letting Maggie see the bloodstains and increase her fear.
Maggie lay on her side, feeling weak all over and having difficulty breathing. Especially when she lay down, she felt like she couldn't catch her breath, which was very painful.
She tightly grasped Fiorello's hand and said fearfully, "Fiorello, my stomach is starting to hurt, and it seems like the amniotic fluid is still leaking."
The amnesiac Maggie had forgotten what it was like when she gave birth to Adalia. For her, this was like giving birth for the first time.
"Don't be afraid, don't panic, it's normal. The doctor will be here soon." Fiorello didn't dare let Maggie know it was blood. He kissed Maggie's forehead and said, "It's okay."
While comforting Maggie, his palms were sweaty. He knew her condition better than Maggie did and was worried about the possibilities the doctor had mentioned.
Soon, the doctors arrived and quickly took Maggie's blood pressure and checked the fetus's condition.
The attending physician saw the blood and his face changed. The situation was more urgent than they had anticipated.
"Notify the operating room immediately and prepare for surgery," the attending physician ordered methodically and urgently asked, "What's the mother's blood pressure now, and how's the fetus?"
"Blood pressure is low, the fetal heartbeat is accelerating, there might be a risk of asphyxiation."
Hearing the doctors' words, Maggie was very scared.
"Is my baby in trouble?" Maggie said fearfully, "Doctor, save my baby. Fiorello, save the baby."
Fiorello comforted her, "Don't worry, with so many doctors here, everything will be fine."
The attending physician said, "Mrs. Flores, don't be afraid, take a deep breath, and leave the rest to us."
Maggie was quickly pushed into the operating room. Arya and Eleanor, who were waiting outside, saw that something was wrong and quickly asked Fiorello, "What's going on? Is Maggie about to give birth?"
Arya was also very anxious and asked, "Fiorello, why are there so many doctors? Did Maggie's water break, or is she bleeding again?"
Fiorello didn't dare tell the truth and said to Arya, "Mom, you go to the ward and look after Adalia. I'll take care of Maggie. Don't worry, everything's fine."
Adalia was still asleep and hadn't woken up.
After saying this, Fiorello hurried to the operating room, and Eleanor followed.
Arya had no choice but to go to the ward to look after Adalia. Suddenly, Adalia woke up, saw that Maggie wasn't there, rubbed her eyes, and gestured: Grandma, where's Mommy?
"Your mommy went to have your little brother. Go back to sleep, and when you wake up, you'll see your little brother or sister." Arya coaxed Adalia back to sleep and then noticed a pool of blood on the bed.
Her face changed dramatically. With so much blood, something serious must have happened.
Arya couldn't care about Adalia anymore and hurried to the operating room.
Dulce, who had just returned from the restroom, saw this and followed, "Arya, is Maggie giving birth?"
"Yes, she's about to give birth." Arya walked quickly, her voice filled with panic.
At the door of the operating room, Fiorello was signing some papers, and the doctor quickly went back inside.
Fiorello and Eleanor were anxiously waiting at the door. Arya walked over and asked, "Fiorello, is Maggie hemorrhaging? I saw the blood on the bed."
"Hemorrhaging?" Eleanor was shocked, "Fiorello, how could this happen?"
"Yes, Maggie's bleeding is quite severe. Dylan has already gone in, so it should be fine." Fiorello's deep eyes were fixed on the operating room door. Although he said this, his heart was still in suspense.
Everyone present was on edge.
In the operating room, Maggie was also losing consciousness due to excessive blood loss. She felt dizzy, had difficulty breathing, and was somewhat hypoxic, so she was already wearing an oxygen tube.
