Chapter 421 Adalia Got into Trouble

Dulce said, "She wouldn't be that heartless, right? Even if Kimberly doesn't like you, you're carrying Fiorello's child. No way she'd harm her own grandkid."

Maggie thought for a moment. "Maybe I'm just overthinking it."

"Yeah, it's probably just the pregnancy making you worry. Relax," Dulce said, eyeing Maggie's belly. "What's it like being pregnant? Can I feel?"

Maggie laughed. "Sure, go ahead."

Dulce gently touched her belly, looking cautious.

Maggie chuckled. "You don't have to be so careful. It's tiring, but seeing my belly grow and knowing the baby is healthy makes it worth it."

"That's great," Dulce said. "You've been through a lot. By the way, Isabella came to my salon recently. She spent twenty grand for a membership card! Her husband's paralyzed, almost like dead to her. She seems to be doing well."

"Her coffee shop opened yesterday. I went, and she looked amazing," Maggie said. "You wouldn't guess she's in her thirties."

"She's had a lot of treatments, all imported," Dulce laughed. "She's a big client now. Women do a lot to look good for someone they love. She must have someone in mind."

Maggie shook her head. "I asked her yesterday. She said there's no one."

Dulce wagged her finger. "She's not telling the truth. I bet she likes someone."

"Whether she does or not, it's her business. If she doesn't say, I won't ask," Maggie said with a smile. "But what about you? Since your last breakup, you haven't been with anyone. You used to move on quickly. What's different this time?"

"I just find men boring now," Dulce pouted. "Guys like Fiorello are rare. Hard to find someone like him."

Maggie teased, "So it's my fault? Meeting Fiorello made you lose faith in other men."

"Come on, I don't like Fiorello," Dulce laughed. "He's not my type—too boring and cold. A man in his thirties talking like an old man."

"I'm just worried about you. Your motto is that the best way to heal a broken heart is to start a new relationship," Maggie added. "Dulce, I'm concerned."

"I'm fine. It's just a guy, and he cost me some money. I consider it charity," Dulce said with a grand wave. "I heard Oliver got himself a sugar mama. She's old, over two hundred pounds, and very needy. Oliver's almost worn out, relying on meds to keep up. When he tries to run, she has him caught and drugged again. It's wild, but it's his punishment."

Maggie was stunned. "That intense?"

"Yeah, being heartbroken over a guy isn't worth it," Dulce said. "I'll mess around for a couple more years and then follow my family's dating plans."

"Family introductions aren't bad. Both sides know each other well," Maggie started to say, but then her phone rang. The kindergarten called—Adalia had caused trouble at school.
