Chapter 628 Jenny Meets Maggie
Francis was taken aback. Thinking about Maggie's current health condition, he immediately refused, "This plan won't work. I've already locked onto the apartment across the street. Give me a little more time, and I can pinpoint Jenny's location."
From the police's perspective, Francis definitely couldn't alert them and had to find out who was behind Jenny as well. Using Maggie as bait was out of the question.
"It's been so long, I'm worried Jenny might do something," Maggie said. "The last time Isabella took Adalia is the best example. I need to eliminate any risk."
"Maggie, don't be too aggressive," Francis advised. "Given your current health, if anything happens to you, causing you regret or harm, I would be to blame. If Dulce found out, with her temper, she'd kill me. Besides, this doesn't align with proper procedure."
Maggie knew this plan would be difficult for him; she was just afraid of repeating past mistakes.
"Are you afraid of Dulce?" Maggie caught the key point in his words.
Francis said, "Dulce values you more than anything. In front of me, she can't go three sentences without mentioning you. She says you're the most important person to her besides her parents. I wouldn't dare take risks with you, especially since you have Fiorello backing you up. Together, they'd kill me."
Maggie felt warm inside and smiled, "That's just how Dulce is. She's cold on the outside but warm on the inside. Having such a good friend in this life is my honor. Francis, there's something I want to ask you."
Francis raised his hand to signal, "Go ahead!"
Maggie asked directly, "Do you have someone you like?"
Francis was surprised. He didn't expect Maggie to ask such a direct question.
After a moment of contemplation, Francis said, "If you have something to say, just say it."
"Then I'll be direct. What do you think of Dulce?" Maggie said seriously. "I've always wanted to set you two up. I heard from Dulce that someone likes you, and she doesn't want to steal someone else's love. So I wanted to ask your opinion."
Maggie thought Francis was upright and had a bright future, making him a good match for Dulce.
Over the years, Dulce had been deceived by men and spent money on them, which made Maggie feel helpless.
When Dulce picked men for her, she was always spot on. But when it came to herself, she always chose wrong. The last guy cost Dulce a few million dollars.
Maggie had repeatedly warned Dulce that spending money on men would bring bad luck, but Dulce just wouldn't listen.
Francis pressed, "Did she really say that?"
His tone revealed a hint of urgency, exposing his thoughts.
Maggie laughed, "I have no reason to lie to you. What do you think of Dulce?"
Francis recalled the moments he spent with Dulce and said, "She's simple, without any scheming, and very loyal."
After a pause, Francis added, "I'm single, open to introductions."
Such straightforwardness surprised and delighted Maggie, "Then I'll introduce Dulce to you. As for how to win her over, that's up to you. But let me be clear, you can't bully or deceive her."
"You two really are sisters; even your way of speaking is identical," Francis said, taking a sip of his coffee. "Dulce likes younger guys."
"Age isn't really a big deal for Dulce. What she values most is..." Maggie almost let it slip. She quickly shut her mouth and smiled, "That's all I can help with. The rest is up to you."
Maggie wasn't trying to hide anything; she was just too embarrassed to say it.
As a married woman, it felt inappropriate to discuss such things with a man.
What Dulce valued most was a man's sexual prowess, muscles, and sense of strength.
In Dulce's words, finding a man, whether happy or not, he must have sexual capability.
Unhappy marriages are likely related to sexual issues.
If there's a fight, one round of sex can solve it. If not, then two rounds.
In a marriage, tolerance and understanding, even if there are quarrels, will quickly lead to reconciliation.
Maggie used to think Dulce was just talking nonsense, but now she had experienced it and agreed with Dulce's views.
A capable man can resolve many conflicts. If he's also good-looking, just looking at his face can dissipate anger.
The words Maggie was too embarrassed to say, Francis said out loud, "Yeah, I know. Dulce values a man's sexual prowess. She says men in their thirties are no good."
Maggie felt very awkward.
Maggie also admired Dulce for daring to say such things.
To avoid any misunderstanding, Maggie explained for Dulce, "Actually, Dulce is just talking. She has her principles and really has no experience. You understand, right?"
Francis thought about the things Dulce had said. They did sound like they came from someone very experienced. In today's society, even if Dulce had lived with her previous boyfriends and had experiences, it wouldn't be surprising.
Maggie saying Dulce had no experience left Francis a bit surprised.
If someone else had said it, it wouldn't be credible. But if Maggie said it, it must be true.
Just as Francis was about to speak, his phone rang. A colleague needed a document, and his computer was in the car, so he went to the car to send it over.
Maggie sat in the café waiting. She ordered a juice, and at that moment, someone suddenly sat across from her.
Maggie instinctively glanced over; it was a woman.
The woman was on the phone, "Ivan, I'm not your dog. I don't need to report my whereabouts to you."
It was Jenny.
Jenny initially didn't notice Maggie sitting diagonally across. After angrily hanging up the phone, she realized it was Maggie sitting there.
Jenny was very shocked. Maggie appearing here alone was a very good opportunity.
