Chapter 645 Made a Mistake

Francis followed Dulce's gaze and saw Fiorello going upstairs with a beautiful woman.

The woman was indeed very close to Fiorello, and there was no assistant with him. The two seemed to have an unusual relationship.

Dulce stood up to follow them, but Francis stopped her. "Don't jump to conclusions. Fiorello isn't that kind of person."

"Whether he is or not, we need to check. Maggie is pregnant, and they say the cheating rate for men during this time is as high as ninety percent. Given Fiorello's social status, who knows if there's someone else out there." Dulce shook off Francis and headed upstairs.

Francis, worried something might happen, followed her.

Upstairs were private rooms, and they were a step too late, losing track of Fiorello and the woman. They had no idea which room they had entered.

Dulce said, "Being so secretive, there must be something going on."

"If there really is something, would you tell Maggie?" Francis said, "Maggie is pregnant and can't handle the stress. It would affect their relationship and threaten their marriage."

Hearing this, Dulce was in a dilemma. "I just hope Fiorello doesn't do anything to hurt Maggie."

Since they had already seen it, Dulce wasn't going to just leave.

They quickly finished their meal and waited in the car at the restaurant entrance. Fiorello would come out eventually.

After waiting for about an hour, Dulce was almost sober when Fiorello and the woman finally came out.

They got into the same car, with Fiorello driving, and drove off.

Dulce urged, "Francis, follow them quickly."

Francis said, "I'm a cop; it's not right to follow people."

"Just follow them, less talking." Dulce stared at the departing car and urged, "If you follow them, I'll agree to be your girlfriend."

Francis had been waiting all night for this.

As soon as Dulce finished speaking, Francis quickly drove off.

They followed the car all the way and finally saw it enter Sunset Hills.

Dulce was stunned. After Fiorello's car went in, she called Maggie and asked, "Maggie, is your husband back?"

"He just got back. How did you know Fiorello was back?" Maggie was standing on the balcony, seeing Fiorello get out of the car along with the woman from the passenger seat. She waved and greeted, "Cousin, Fiorello."

Dulce was shocked to hear this.

After all that following, it turned out to be Fiorello's cousin.

Dulce said into the phone, "Never mind," and quickly hung up, then looked at Francis. "We were wrong. That's Fiorello's cousin."

Francis, unfazed by the revelation, didn't know Fiorello's cousin but believed Fiorello wouldn't cheat.

Francis, with one hand on the steering wheel, said, "My girlfriend, shall I take you home now?"

Dulce covered her face, realizing she had just agreed to be Francis's girlfriend.

Drinking too much causes trouble.

Dulce gave a dry laugh. "...Thank you."

Back at Sunset Hills, Maggie, after hanging up the phone, felt puzzled.

Why did Dulce call?

Fiorello came upstairs and saw Maggie on the balcony. He asked, "Maggie, how are you feeling today? Have the babies been active?"

"The baby has been moving a lot today. Seems like it's going to be a lively child." Maggie put away her phone and said, "Dulce just called, asking if you were back, and then hung up after saying that."

"I think I saw Dulce and Francis following my car." Fiorello realized and laughed, "I'll get you some water for a foot soak. Your feet seem swollen again."

Fiorello didn't explain further.

Maggie was puzzled. "Dulce and Francis? Did you run into them? What's going on?"

With her big belly, she sat on the sofa. Her belly was so big she could barely see her toes. Sleeping was the hardest part, as she could only sleep on her side, and turning over was difficult, requiring Fiorello's help. She even had leg cramps at night.

Fiorello smiled. "Not exactly ran into them. Dulce will probably talk to you later, and you'll find out then."

Maggie smiled lightly. "What's so mysterious?"

Fiorello didn't say more and went downstairs to get hot water for Maggie's foot soak. Maggie received a Facebook message.

It was from someone marked as 'Christina.'

Since their meeting at the coffee shop, Jenny often interacted with Maggie on Facebook, trying to build a relationship but never asking Maggie out.

Out of politeness, Maggie would reply, but only briefly.

Although the fingerprint comparison had ruled out Jenny as a suspect, Maggie still felt uneasy and didn't want to chat much.
