Chapter 558 No Such Big Conflict
There are dozens of types of herbs here, some of which look very similar, and Maggie can't tell them apart.
Each herb has different effects, and different herbs are prescribed for different symptoms.
Adalia nodded, "I know all of that."
Dylan asked, "How do you know?"
"I learned from Mr. Mason," Adalia said seriously. "When Mr. Mason was drying the herbs, I asked him, and he told me."
Dylan then realized that when he was drying the herbs, Adalia had come over and asked a lot of questions, which he answered casually.
To him, Adalia was just a curious child.
Dylan said excitedly, "Alright, let me test you now. What are the five herbs in this basket, and what are their effects?"
Adalia glanced at them, picked up each herb, and began to explain.
Adalia didn't get any of the herbs wrong, and she accurately remembered their effects.
These herbs were all for treating Mark.
Dylan was overjoyed, "A genius, Fiorello, your daughter is a medical genius. I just casually mentioned them to her a couple of times, and she remembered everything."
Maggie was also thrilled and kissed Adalia excitedly, "Sweetie, you're amazing."
Fiorello was very proud and took the opportunity to ask Dylan, "Will you take her as your apprentice?"
"Yes," Dylan agreed without hesitation. "She's a genius, of course, I'll take her. Our pharmacy will have a successor. She's only six, right? Fiorello, let me tell you, in medicine, talent is more important than anything. Without talent, no matter how long you study, you won't achieve much."
Fiorello's lips curved slightly, "She's not even six yet. Adalia, quickly call him Master."
Adalia caught on immediately, "Master, I'll go get you some water."
Adalia had a lot of little thoughts, which amused Dylan, "This apprentice is worth taking."
Adalia pulled Dylan inside to drink water, and Fiorello and Maggie exchanged a smile. It would be wonderful if Adalia could really learn medicine well.
Although Fiorello hoped Adalia would go into business and run a company, he also respected her choice.
Arya came out of the treatment room and saw Adalia holding a cup of water, respectfully saying, "Master, please have some tea."
Arya was puzzled. What had happened in such a short time?
Seeing Arya, Maggie smiled and explained, "Adalia wants to learn medicine from Dr. Mason, so she became his apprentice."
"Adalia wants to learn medicine? That's great," Arya was also happy. In her eyes, being a pharmacist had a bright future.
At that moment, Brian came in from outside and said, "Fiorello, Olivia is here, saying she wants to see Arya."
"What does she want with me?" Arya hadn't seen Olivia in a long time, but after all, they were sisters. If Olivia came, she couldn't refuse to see her.
Arya wasn't a heartless person.
Maggie and Fiorello didn't say anything. Maggie waved to Adalia, "Adalia, come upstairs with me."
Sunset Hills had three reception rooms of different sizes. Maggie took Adalia upstairs, Fiorello and Dylan went to a nearby room to discuss something, and Arya went to the door to meet Olivia.
Arya used to be very enthusiastic, but now she was just polite.
"Olivia, you're here. What's the matter? Come in and sit down," Arya said, only because of their sisterly bond.
"Arya, my life is so hard."
As soon as she sat down, Olivia grabbed Arya's hand and began to complain, crying sadly, "Why is my life so hard? I only have one daughter, and now she's hurt like this. How will Isabella face people in the future? Isabella has thought about ending her life many times, and I feel like there's no hope left in these days."
Arya's heart softened as she listened, "Olivia, life is long, you have to look forward."
"What's there to look forward to? We're barely getting by now. What will Frank and I do in the future? We're getting old, and you're the lucky one. I don't have that kind of luck," Olivia said, wiping her tears. "Arya, you're not still mad about last time, are you? Isabella and Maggie are sisters after all. It's normal for sisters to have conflicts. There's no such thing as a big grudge between sisters."
