Chapter 530 Causing a Scene at One's Own Wedding

The note told her to run away; the police had already found out about her killing Kimberly.

Jenny panicked immediately, leaning against the wall to force herself to calm down.

No one had discovered it at the time, and the police had already closed the case. It must be a trap.

Thinking this, Jenny's body still uncontrollably moved towards the hotel exit. She didn't want to be caught and go to jail. She didn't dare take the elevator and chose the stairs instead.

Her body was heavy, and the wedding dress was inconvenient. By the time Jenny walked from the eighth floor to the first floor, she was exhausted and had to rest for a while, holding onto the stair railing.

After resting, just as Jenny, in her wedding dress, was walking towards the first-floor exit, a figure blocked her way.

"Ms. Holmes, the wedding is about to start. Where are you going?"

It was Holly.

Jenny angrily shouted, "Get out of my way. I'm going to the car to get something."

Holly approached Jenny, saying, "What does Ms. Holmes need? I can have someone fetch it. The wedding is about to start; you should go back."

"Who do you think you are? Get out of my way." Jenny tried to force her way through.

Holly grabbed Jenny's hand with great strength, not at all as weak as she appeared. Even her eyes turned serious.

"Who are you really?"

Jenny realized this wasn't the bridesmaid, shouting "You aren't hired by my dad? What do you want?"

"Ms. Holmes, the wedding hasn't started yet. As the main character, how can you leave?" Holly said, "If you leave, how will I explain to Mr. Flores?"

Jenny's face turned pale. "Mr. Flores? Which Mr. Flores? Gregory or Fiorello?"

Holly didn't answer, clamping down on Jenny's arm and dragging her towards the elevator.

"Let go of me, my stomach hurts." Seeing no way out, Jenny started to fake a stomachache.

Holly didn't believe her. Her orders were to keep Jenny on site and not let her escape.

Holly said, "Even if your stomach hurts, bear with it. The wedding is about to start."

Jenny felt hopeless as Holly dragged her back to the room.

Time ticked by, and with five minutes left until the wedding at noon, Jenny was on pins and needles. She called Kevin for help, but Kevin, busy in the banquet hall, couldn't answer.

With only a few minutes left, the groom still hadn't arrived.

Jenny was anxious, and so was Kevin.

Joseph was nervously chatting with the guests, checking his watch over twenty times.

The wedding officiant approached Joseph to ask if they could start.

To avoid alarming the guests, Joseph told the officiant, "You can start. Try to stretch the opening as long as possible; the groom isn't here yet."

The officiant understood immediately and went on stage to give a lengthy opening speech.

Kevin gave Joseph a reproachful look. "Joseph, if today's wedding is ruined, my daughter will be humiliated. She's six months pregnant, and the groom is still not here. This is bringing disgrace to the Holmes family."

Joseph smiled apologetically and said, "Kevin, Gregory will definitely come. He's on his way. I'll call to hurry him up."

Joseph took out his phone to call, but it still wouldn't go through.

At that moment, the bodyguards returned, carrying Gregory.

Gregory was drunk early in the morning, reeking of alcohol, and hadn't changed into his groom's attire.

Seeing Gregory in this state, Joseph angrily said, "Look at yourself. Go change your clothes; the wedding is about to start."

"Wedding? Who's getting married?" Gregory, drunk and playful, asked with a laugh, "I don't see the bride."

"Bastard, today is your wedding with Jenny. You've drunk yourself into this state and brought shame upon me." Joseph couldn't help but scold, "If it weren't for your grandmother's dying wish and your deceased mother, do you think I'd want to arrange this wedding for you? You're just trouble."

Joseph's words were like sharp needles piercing Gregory's heart.

Gregory suddenly gave a cold smile, pushed away the bodyguards supporting him, bowed deeply to Joseph, and sarcastically said, "Thank you, Mr. Flores, for your efforts. Poor me, the illegitimate child. Thank you for remembering my dead mother. Thank you so much."

With that, Gregory staggered towards the wedding stage, grabbed the microphone from the officiant, and with a wicked smile, loudly said, "Thank you all for coming. I am Joseph's illegitimate son, Gregory. Today, enjoy the food and drinks. Don't be shy; Mr. Flores is picking up the tab."
