Chapter 711 Olivia Pretending to Be Crazy
Fiorello smiled and answered the parent, "Daughters take after their dads."
When others mistook Adalia for Fiorello's biological daughter, Fiorello smiled and accepted it. This is what it means to love someone else's child as your own.
"Daughters take after their dads, and sons take after their moms."
Katie also looked more like Fiorello. Previously, Dulce had said that Katie looked very similar to Adalia when she was young. After spending so much time together, Adalia and Fiorello started to look more alike.
Adalia waved at Fiorello, signaling him to come over and join her for skiing.
Fiorello stood up and said to Maggie, "Maggie, I'm going to join Adalia. Don't catch a cold, play for a while and don't overdo it."
He was worried about Maggie's health.
Maggie smiled and said, "Go ahead, I know my limits."
Fiorello walked over to Adalia, and the parent who had spoken earlier came over to chat, "Your husband treats you so well. You can tell from the way he talks that he's a man who loves his wife."
Maggie smiled, "Yes, he's a very gentle person."
The woman looked envious, "You're very lucky to have such a handsome and gentlemanly husband. I'll make sure my daughter looks for a husband like that in the future."
The woman was also there with her daughter, who was eight years old and a bit older than Adalia.
Maggie agreed and chatted, "Finding a husband requires care. It's not just about finding a husband for yourself, but also a father for your children. The kind of father he is will shape the kind of person your child becomes."
"Exactly, I think the same way," the woman said enthusiastically and talkatively. "Actually, my husband treats me very well too. I've been married to him for so many years and have never cooked a meal. My child's father is a chef, and he cooks whatever I want. Let me tell you, I was ninety pounds before I got married, and now I'm one hundred and forty pounds, all because of my husband."
When the woman talked about her husband, her face was full of happiness and shyness.
Maggie humorously said, "That's called happiness expanding, it's a good thing."
Talking to happy people is very relaxing.
The woman laughed, "Anyway, I've gained all this weight because of my husband, so I'm sticking with him for life."
"You definitely should," Maggie laughed. "Hold on to your happiness."
Married women have more topics to talk about together. The woman was very down-to-earth, spoke honestly, and was humorous and interesting.
Maggie hadn't had such a pleasant conversation in a long time.
Fiorello took Adalia skiing for a few more rounds and then the three of them went to the food area to buy sausages. The three of them held hands, eating hot sausages, walking in the snow, feeling relaxed and leisurely.
When they encountered a professional photographer, Fiorello asked them to take a picture of the three of them. Adalia was very happy.
The photo came out quickly, and Fiorello looked at it and said with a smile, "Let's take another one together next time."
Adalia gestured: "Include my brother and sister."
In Adalia's eyes, a complete family included her parents, herself, and her siblings.
After leaving the ski resort, it was getting dark, so Fiorello took the mother and daughter to a restaurant for dinner.
Adalia said she wanted to eat KFC, so the three of them ended up going to KFC.
Halfway through the meal, Fiorello went to the restroom, and Maggie and Adalia sat by the window eating honey BBQ chicken when they suddenly felt someone staring at them.
Maggie turned around and saw a horrifying face reflected in the glass window—it was Olivia.
Olivia stood outside the window, disheveled, staring at Adalia and her.
Adalia was so scared that she hid in Maggie's arms. Olivia's gaze was terrifying, even Maggie felt scared.
Olivia just kept staring, not moving.
Maggie remembered that Olivia knew Adalia's identity. She gently patted Adalia's hand, signaling her not to be afraid and to wait there. Then she walked outside.
When Olivia saw Maggie approaching, she suddenly grinned, a terrifying smile, and pointed at Maggie, cursing, "You little bitch, you'll die a horrible death, you'll go to hell, ungrateful, you'll be punished."
Maggie wasn't afraid of these curses; she wasn't even angry. She looked at Olivia calmly and said, "Olivia, pretending to be crazy is meaningless. I gave you a chance. If you tell what you know, Isabella might get a shorter sentence."
Previously, Arya had told her that Olivia's mind was not clear and that she had mental issues. Now, looking at Olivia's disheveled appearance, Maggie noticed that her hands were very clean, and her nails were freshly done.
