Chapter 466 Murder
Maggie didn't bother with any chit-chat. She just raised the knife and went straight for Kimberly's chest.
Kimberly was so freaked out that her legs gave way, and she hit the floor, barely dodging the knife.
"You're nuts, Maggie, totally nuts." Kimberly scrambled on the ground, trying to crawl away and scream for help, but no one was around.
The bathroom was tucked away in the back, the alley was long, and the soundproofing was top-notch. With the maintenance sign outside, no one would come in or have a clue about what was going down inside.
Kimberly was genuinely terrified. She had just hit the ground hard, and it hurt like hell.
Maggie looked down at her, blocking her path, and gave a bloodthirsty smile. "Scared, huh? Did you ever think about this day when you came after me?"
Fueled by emotion, Maggie squatted down, grabbed Kimberly by the collar, and stared at her age-spotted face with pure disgust and hatred.
She spat out, "Mrs. Kimberly Flores, do you have any idea what I've been through in the hospital these past few days? You don't. I've been crying every day. I've asked myself over and over, what did I ever do to you to deserve this? My baby didn't even get a chance to see the world. Every moment in that hospital, I thought about how to kill you, to make you die with my child."
Maggie lost it, her eyes almost popping out. She hated her so much, roaring, "That was an unborn child! How could you do this? Why?"
Her last words were almost a scream, filled with such intense hatred. It seemed like Maggie would kill Kimberly any second.
Kimberly was old and couldn't handle this kind of terror, especially with Maggie holding a knife.
Kimberly was scared out of her mind, not daring to look at Maggie, and said fearfully, "I thought you were carrying someone else's child. Because you're so promiscuous, getting pregnant before marriage, having a daughter first, and then going in and out of hotels with other men. I didn't know it was really Fiorello's child. I regret it too. That was Fiorello's first child."
Maggie found this too ridiculous and laughed, tears streaming down her face, laughing like a maniac.
Her laughter sent chills down Kimberly's spine, making her too scared to move.
Maggie laughed a few more times, looked at Kimberly, and shook her head in anger. "You regret it because it was Fiorello's child. You never truly felt sorry from the start. If it really wasn't Fiorello's child, would you still regret it? How can someone be as cold-blooded as you? I saw you coming out of that luxury store just now, laughing so happily. You don't really know you're wrong."
"Maggie, can you honestly say you're not after Fiorello's money?" Kimberly still looked down on Maggie. " You're right, even if I had to do it all over again, I'd still do the same. You're not worthy of giving birth to a child for the Flores family. Blame it on that poor child; he shouldn't have ended up in your womb."
Kimberly's words provoked Maggie even more.
Maggie's hand holding the knife shook with anger. Thinking of the child's painful struggle in her womb, her hatred boiled over. Maggie couldn't control herself anymore. She raised the knife and shouted, "Then you go pay with your life for my son."
With Kimberly's terrified expression, Maggie plunged the knife into her chest, blood splattering everywhere.
When the world went quiet, Maggie's rage was spent. Looking at the now lifeless Kimberly, Maggie realized she had really killed her.
Maggie was scared too, her limbs cold. She stood up in fear, looking at the old woman on the ground, completely lost, stumbling back a few steps, the knife falling from her hand. Her mind was a mess.
Maggie held her head in pain, panicked, and ran out. Her hands were still stained with Kimberly's blood.
As she ran out, Jenny, who had come to find Kimberly, happened to see Maggie's panicked figure running away.
Sensing something was wrong, Jenny quickly went into the bathroom and saw Kimberly lying on the ground, with a blood-stained knife on the floor.
