Chapter 260 Concealing for Fiorello

The beautiful woman was both surprised and delighted, as it gave her the opportunity to meet people from the Visionary Futures Group.

"Ms. Miller, no, I should call you..."

Seeing the situation was not right, Fiorello blinked at Holden.

Holden understood, and before the beautiful woman could finish her sentence, he deliberately interrupted with a smile. "Emily, you have so many beautiful friends, yet you haven't introduced them to me. Hello, ladies."

Holden's words excited the group of beautiful women.

The aloof Fiorello was out of their league, but there was still some chance with the second son of the Visionary Futures Group.

Emily also realized she almost caused trouble for Fiorello and suggested, "How about we go somewhere else for another drink? I'll introduce you to my friends, Maggie, I know you probably won't go, so let's plan another time for just the two of us."

Maggie didn't suspect anything and agreed. "Sure, let's plan for another time. We should head back now."

Emily waved goodbye hastily. "Goodbye."

Holden added, "Fiorello, Maggie, you can go back without worrying about me."

This time, he should gain some benefits. His allowance for the year might increase.

Fiorello left with Maggie, and Benjamin, who initially wanted to leave, was persuaded by Holden to stay. "Let's go somewhere else for another drink together."

Leaving was not an option; they stayed together.

Benjamin felt speechless.

He didn't provoke anyone.

Fiorello and Maggie left, and the driver was waiting at the door.

Maggie asked, "We're taking your boss's car again. Isn't that inappropriate? Shouldn't we take a cab instead?"

"Taking a cab costs money; the boss's car doesn't." Fiorello easily guessed Maggie's thoughts and said, "It would cost over a hundred dollars to go back from here by cab."

Maggie agreed. "Then let's take the boss's car."

Fiorello smiled and opened the car door for her.

Once inside the car, Maggie asked, "Didn't you say Holden had a girlfriend? Is it okay for him to act like this tonight?"

If he had a girlfriend and was flirting with other girls outside, that was not acceptable.

Holden covered for Fiorello, and naturally, Fiorello had to help him, saying, "It seems like they've broken up."

"They broke up?" Maggie remarked, "I feel like Holden gets bored easily. They broke up so soon. By the way, Holden seems quite close to Emily."

Fiorello smoothly replied, "When you were in the hospital, they often came to visit you, and they got to know each other during those visits."

"I almost wanted them to date last time. Seeing the situation today, these two might actually have a chance," Maggie said with a smile, "Emily is a good girl. I'll make sure Holden pursues her seriously. He shouldn't get bored easily."

Fiorello had nothing much to say about that.

Back at home, Arya and Adalia were already asleep.

Maggie checked on Adalia in the children's room, feeling warm and content seeing her asleep.

Fast forward to Friday.

Fiorello was indeed on a business trip, and Maggie agreed to attend a party with Ann, but she couldn't stay out too late.

Maggie informed Arya, handed Adalia over to her, and then took a cab to the party venue.

The party was held at a large restaurant, and Ann, being sociable, invited many colleagues.

Not only were there colleagues from the company's sales department, but also Angela from the design department.

When Maggie arrived at the private room, she was surprised to see Angela there. "Angela, you're here too."

"Yes, I used to know Ann well when I was at AL Jewelry," Angela said with concern. "Are you feeling any better?"

Maggie replied with a smile, "I'm much better. I'll be back at work on Monday."

Angela was relieved. "That's great. With you back, I'll have an easier time. The design department is short-staffed, and Jones has been overworking me. I can barely handle it."

As they spoke, Ann went to welcome another colleague, and upon seeing Maggie, she warmly embraced her. "Maggie, you're here. Today, everyone here is from AL. Although we're from different departments, we're all part of the same company, so there's no need to be too formal."

Maggie smiled. "Okay, Ann, congratulations."

"Thank you." Ann was particularly happy that day.

While they were talking, Ann's husband, Ben, entered with flowers, sparking laughter and creating a lively atmosphere among the guests.
