Chapter 764 The Truth of the Past Unveiled

Michael heard that Maggie was meeting Harold here tonight to discuss some matters, so he arrived early to wait.

Harold was notoriously lecherous. As long as he added some drugs to the wine, there would definitely be unexpected situations tonight.

The reporters and media had already been notified, just waiting for his signal. By tomorrow morning, the scandal between Maggie and Harold would shake the entire business world. He wanted to see how Maggie could stay in the Flores family after that.

A widow, with Fiorello's incident not long ago, and now Maggie was rumored to be with another man. This would be enough to bring Maggie down.

Michael had always harbored a grudge against Maggie.

Ever since she kicked him out of Visionary Futures Group, he had been looking for a chance to get revenge.

Today, he finally had the opportunity.

The waitress took the drug packet from Michael's hand and said, "Mr. Johnson, rest assured, it will be done. Wait for my message."

After taking the drug, the waitress went to get the wine.

Drugging Maggie wasn't enough; Michael also had to find a way to distract William at the door.

With William guarding, there was no chance to make a move.

Michael had already thought of a plan.

Shortly after the waitress delivered the wine to the private room, a drunken man, cursing and swearing, was brought over by two lackeys towards William.

The man walked up to William and deliberately picked a fight. William ignored him, so the man started fighting with William directly. The hallway became chaotic, and the man smashed a bottle on William's head, causing his head to bleed and scaring the female colleagues from the PR department.

The private room had good soundproofing, so Maggie inside had no idea what was happening outside. She was drinking with Harold and discussing the South Bay project.

Maggie had familiarized herself with the South Bay project before coming. Fiorello had also talked to her about this project before, and she remembered it, so she repeated Fiorello's views. Seeing that Maggie really understood, Harold was more willing to delve deeper and had an intention to cooperate.

The commotion outside the private room soon subsided. William was taken away by an ambulance, and the PR department colleagues hurriedly followed to the hospital.

Inside the private room, Maggie, who had already had a few drinks, felt a bit uncomfortable and started to feel hot all over.

Harold had also been drinking. He already admired Maggie, and under the influence of alcohol and drugs, he began to lose control.

Harold touched Maggie's hand, his eyes filled with desire. "Maggie, you are the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. Marry me, let me take good care of you."

As he spoke, Harold leaned towards Maggie. Sensing something was wrong, Maggie pushed Harold away and glanced at the wine, angrily saying, "You drugged me? Harold, I thought you were a gentleman, but I didn't expect you to be a despicable scoundrel."

Maggie angrily called him by his name. She was also very scared and panicked.

Her whole body felt like it was on fire, and desire was about to consume her, destroying her willpower.

Harold didn't know what was going on, but with his experience, how could he not realize it now?

"Maggie, believe me, I really didn't drug you. Whoever drugged you is a bastard." Harold swore while uncontrollably approaching Maggie. He grabbed Maggie and said, "This is fate, Maggie. Marry me, let me take good care of you."

Maggie's body fragrance was a fatal temptation. Harold's lecherous nature was revealed, and his behavior became somewhat crazy as he pressed Maggie onto the sofa.

Maggie was truly frightened. She struggled with all her might but was weak, and under the influence of the drug, her rationality was quickly being drowned.

"Harold, let go of me."

Maggie's voice was filled with panic as she shouted towards the outside, "William!"

No matter how she shouted, no one came in.

Maggie felt a bit desperate, her mouth dry, the dim light, the man on her, his blurry eyes. She was in a daze, and scenes flashed through her mind, bringing a sense of familiarity.

These were memories she had lost years ago. The scene was almost identical to now.

It was the same setting, the same kind of light overhead, but the man on her was different.

She grasped the deleted scenes from her memory, fixing the man's appearance. She finally saw clearly the face of the man from back then.
