Chapter 571 Conditioning the Body, Preparing for Pregnancy Again

A woman's heart is hard to fathom.

Dulce thought that a man's heart was like a safety pin, twisting and turning impossible to figure out.

Dulce followed Francis to the police station parking lot and said, "I have something to do today, so I won't be going."

Usually, if there were a case, Dulce would rush over quickly. But this time, since it involved Maggie's case, Dulce wasn't as eager.

Francis was curious, "What do you have to do?"

"I have a date today," Dulce said. "My mom set me up with a date, a college professor, very cultured."

Hearing that Dulce was going on a date, Francis frowned, "Suit yourself."

With that, Francis got into the car and slammed the door shut.

The sound of the door slamming startled Dulce. Why did he seem even angrier?

Dulce muttered to herself, got into her car, and drove to her date. Whether she liked it or not, she had to go.

Rejected, Wendy came out carrying a thermos. By the time she came out, Francis and Dulce were both gone.

Wendy was extremely angry. The old Francis would never refuse her food. Ever since he met Dulce, Francis had changed.

Wendy, being a family member, still had many acquaintances in the police station who greeted her warmly.

Wendy stopped a young officer and asked, "Does that Miss Quixote often stick to Francis?"

"Yeah, Miss Quixote often goes out on cases with Francis. She's got a great nose and has helped Francis solve several big cases."

Wendy's tone was sour, "A great nose can solve cases? Aren't police dogs' noses great too?"

"No matter how great a police dog is, it can't talk. An animal is still an animal," the young officer said, not understanding didn't Wendy's meaning.

Wendy's face darkened, "I think Miss Quixote is deliberately getting close to Francis."

"Wendy, I have things to do. I'll get going."

"Okay." Wendy left, feeling dejected.

Maggie was getting busier. She had taken on many orders recently and needed to draw design sketches.

Putting time into something she loved made her days much more fulfilling.

Adalia now followed Dylan to learn about being a pharmacist after school, full of excitement.

Mark's condition was improving daily. With Arya's help, he could now move around the yard and speak more fluently.

It was fortunate that Dylan treated him in time; otherwise, Mark would have been paralyzed for life.

Lately, Mark had also started to question the cause of his stroke. The more he thought about it, the more suspicious it seemed.

It was too strange for him to have a stroke out of nowhere.

Arya said he had done too many bad things, and God was punishing him.

Seeing that Dylan could cure Mark, Maggie began to have other hopes.

After finishing two design sketches, Maggie went downstairs to the pharmacy to find Dylan.

To meet Dylan's conditions for treating Mark, Fiorello set up a room in the house specifically for various herbs and equipment.

Fiorello left early and returned late every day, with many company matters to attend to, sometimes coming back in the dead of night.

When Maggie arrived at the pharmacy, Dylan was preparing medicine for Mark. Seeing Maggie, he asked, "What's up?"

Maggie hesitated, "Dr. Mason, I want you to prescribe some medicine to help me regulate my body."

Dylan looked Maggie up and down and understood, "You want to have a child with Fiorello?"

Maggie's cheeks flushed, a bit embarrassed, "Yes."

Dylan said, "Let me check your health condition."

"Thank you, Dr. Mason."

Maggie followed Dylan to a side room. As Dylan examined her, his brow gradually furrowed.

Maggie watched Dylan's expression, her heart tightening with his reactions, "Dr. Mason, can my body still have a child?"
