Chapter 519 Love Has No Reason
Maggie and Fiorello finally made it to their apartment, their little secret hideaway and happy place.
The moment they stepped inside, Maggie shrugged off her coat and planted a passionate kiss on Fiorello. They moved from the living room to the bedroom, and then to the bathroom, turning every corner into their own love battlefield.
Under the shower, water splashed everywhere, mixing with their passion and desire.
Fiorello's eyes roamed over her smooth, curvy body, burning with intense fire.
"Maggie." Fiorello loved saying her name when he got emotional. His voice was deep and magnetic, with a hint of allure she couldn't resist.
She clung to his arm, soaking in the pleasure Fiorello brought her. Being with him made her forget all her pain and unhappiness.
They healed each other in their relationship.
Afterwards, she was exhausted, lying on top of him with her eyes half-closed. "Adalia keeps asking about you. When are you gonna take her out to play?"
He absentmindedly played with her slightly damp hair, whispering, "Once this busy period is over, I'll take you and Adalia out for a break."
"Okay." Maggie lifted her eyelids, looking at the scar on his chest, gently caressing the pinkish mark. "Fiorello, promise me, you won't hurt yourself again. If you dare to risk your life again, I won't forgive you."
Fiorello smiled, "Alright, I promise you."
He kissed her forehead and said, "Get some sleep. Tomorrow, I have to go to Crystal Peaks."
Maggie asked, "Is it about the factory fire last time? Is someone really trying to mess with Visionary Futures Group?"
Fiorello replied gently, "Business is like a battlefield. Visionary Futures Group is a highly sought-after asset, with many people eager to acquire its resources and projects. It's normal. Trust me, I can handle it."
She lay on his chest and asked, "How many days will you be gone this time?"
"Three days." Fiorello rolled over, pinning her beneath him. "Let's get three days' worth of work done tonight."
Maggie laughed, "Stop it, are you trying to kill yourself?"
He raised an eyebrow, "If I don't exercise when I'm young, when will I do it, when I'm old?"
As he spoke, he had already started moving. "Maggie, I like you, I like your body, I like..."
The rest of his words were whispered into her ear.
These words made Maggie blush and shocked her. It was the first time she had heard Fiorello speak so bluntly.
Tonight, Fiorello was especially wild.
Maggie was drenched in sweat, exhausted, but he hadn't stopped.
Maggie didn't even know when he finished. She was so tired that she didn't want to move and fell asleep.
He had drained every bit of her energy.
Maggie slept deeply, feeling as if her days and nights had become one. When she finally regained her strength and woke up, it was already the afternoon of the next day.
Fiorello had already left for Crystal Peaks, leaving a note on the bedside table: [Make sure to eat on time, wait for me to come back.]
Maggie smiled, feeling warm inside.
She lifted the blanket, got out of bed, and took a shower in the bathroom, her body covered in love marks.
As the water poured over her head, Maggie looked down at her flat stomach. The last time she was pregnant, she was lucky. The miscarriage almost cost her her uterus. She knew she could never have another baby with Fiorello in this lifetime.
Thinking of this, Maggie felt a wave of sadness.
Maggie was conflicted. She couldn't bear to leave Fiorello, but she also realized that this relationship might not be good for him.
After washing up, Maggie got dressed and left. She had to take a cab back.
The cab coincidentally passed by Isabella's coffee shop. Maggie glanced at it casually, noticing that business didn't seem to be doing well; there weren't many people inside.
Isabella's car was parked in front of the shop, so she was probably inside.
As the cab drove forward, Maggie's eyes inadvertently caught a familiar figure at the corner of the coffee shop.
Maggie was shocked. Was it him?
