Chapter 372 Half-Brothers

Fiorello had a gut feeling Gregory wasn't just a regular business rival.

"The other side came prepared," Fiorello said. "Maybe the data leaked from Dad."

Holden laughed. "No way, Fiorello. Dad might be unreliable, but he wouldn't leak important data. Visionary Futures is his son's company. He wouldn't sabotage his own kid."

Holden's words hit Fiorello hard.

He looked at Gregory's info on the computer: Zenith University grad, born in Cyberland, 29 years old.

Gregory was just a year younger than Fiorello.

Something about Gregory's features seemed off, sparking a suspicion in Fiorello's mind.

Though shocked, Fiorello kept his cool and changed the topic. "What have you been doing at the company? How do you not know about the bidding?"

"Fiorello, there's just too much going on. I can't keep up," Holden said, scratching his head. "I'm not as capable as you. Even one task is tough for me. My schedule is packed, and by the time I get home, my brain is fried."

Fiorello frowned. "Your workload is only a third of what mine used to be, and you can't handle it?"

"Fiorello," Holden whined, "I just don't have the ability. Now I get how hard it was for you. Now that Maggie's out of the hospital, why don't you come back?"

Fiorello waved him off. "Get out."

He realized he couldn't rely on Holden.

Feeling relieved, Holden quickly left. After working so hard, he needed a night out to relax.

After Holden left, Fiorello stared at Gregory's info, deep in thought.

He hoped his suspicion was wrong.

Joseph soon found out Gregory had snatched the Visionary Futures project.

Finally, Joseph realized why Gregory had asked about the project days ago.

He had casually mentioned the bidding, not expecting Gregory to compete with Visionary Futures.

Joseph quickly called Gregory. "What's going on with the bidding? What are you trying to do?"

Gregory sneered. "Dad, I'm just following your advice, doing business and making money."

"You idiot, I gave you money to start a company, not to go against Fiorello. If you mess around again, I'll send you back."

Joseph was anxious, worried Fiorello would notice something. Fiorello was too smart.

Gregory laughed coldly. "Dad, whatever. To you, I'm just a stain, an illegitimate child, not worthy of being compared to your other sons."

Gregory hung up.

"Gregory," Joseph muttered, both angry and worried.

To Joseph, Gregory was indeed a stain. When Eleanor gave birth to Fiorello, the conflict between Kimberly and Eleanor had deepened. One night, after drinking too much, he had a fling with his secretary, resulting in Gregory.

Joseph regretted it deeply. To protect his family, he hid Gregory's existence but couldn't completely ignore him. So, he had sent Gregory abroad for school.

Gregory returned two years ago. Joseph had given him money to start a company, thinking he had treated his son good enough.

Gregory was becoming harder to control, and Joseph worried the truth would come out, and the Flores family would learn about him.

Just as Joseph was thinking this, his phone rang. It was Fiorello.

Seeing Fiorello's call, Joseph felt too guilty to answer.
