Chapter 359 Threatened Miscarriage

Hearing the news, Fiorello couldn't bother to stay anymore. He hung up and rushed to the hospital.

Kimberly grabbed his hand. "Fiorello, where are you going? Jenny's still here."

"Maggie's in the hospital, Grandma. I need to go now," Fiorello said seriously.

"She was fine playing cards with me this morning. How could she be in the hospital now? She's faking it," Kimberly scoffed. "That woman is so manipulative. Don't be fooled, Fiorello."

"Grandma, when you dislike someone, everything they do seems wrong. Maggie's in trouble, and I have to go." Fiorello pulled his hand away and left.

"Fiorello!" Kimberly yelled, slapping her leg in frustration, but he was already gone.

Jenny watched him leave, feeling a growing resentment. She vowed to make Fiorello and Maggie pay for today's humiliation.

"Jenny, don't be mad. I'll scold him when we get back. This is too much," Kimberly fumed, convinced Maggie was faking it.

Jenny forced a smile. "Kimberly, I'm fine. Maybe there's no hope for Fiorello and me. I'll head back."

Her tone was sad, making Kimberly feel sorry for her.

"You're such a good girl," Kimberly said, holding Jenny's hand. "Don't worry, I'll help you. It's rare to find someone as kind as you. But you need to use some tactics with men. Look at Maggie, faking an illness to get Fiorello to leave. That's what I call tactics."

"Thank you, Kimberly," Jenny said, listening closely.

"Go home and rest. I'll go to the hospital to see if Maggie's really sick or just pretending."

Kimberly was determined to expose Maggie.

At City Hospital, Dulce was waiting anxiously. Maggie was in the emergency room.

Dulce felt guilty for dragging Maggie to drink. If something happened, she couldn't bear the responsibility.

She paced nervously, waiting for any news.

Fiorello arrived with a serious expression. "Dulce, how's Maggie?"

"I don't know yet," Dulce said worriedly. "I'm sorry, I didn't expect this. It's my fault for making her drink."

"How much did she drink?" Fiorello asked coldly.

"Just one glass," Dulce assured him. "Really, just one. But soon after, her face changed, she had stomach pain, and then she started bleeding."

Maggie's symptoms had come on quickly, and Dulce was still scared recalling it.

"Could it be that Maggie hasn't fully recovered from her last car accident?" Dulce wondered.

Fiorello frowned. "She's been healthy recently. She was fine this morning. One glass shouldn't cause this."

Just then, the emergency room door opened, and a doctor came out. "Who's Maggie's family?"

Fiorello stepped forward. "I'm her husband. How is she, doctor?"

"The situation is serious. She recently had major surgery and hasn't fully recovered. Drinking caused a threatened miscarriage."

Fiorello was shocked. "Threatened miscarriage?"

Dulce was also surprised. "Maggie's pregnant?"
