Chapter 432 Fiorello Suspected

Jenny's words hit home for Kimberly.

Kimberly's eyes flashed cold, like they could turn into ice daggers aimed at Maggie.

"She wasn't lucky enough to have her kid born into the Flores family," Kimberly snapped. "Fiorello might be confused, but I'm not. If he doesn't believe the baby isn't his, I'll handle it."

Jenny's heart skipped a beat. "Kimberly, did you tell Fiorello that Maggie's baby isn't his?"

"Yeah," Kimberly fumed. "I was furious, and Fiorello didn't believe me, so he sent me to the countryside."

Jenny sensed something was off. She thought Kimberly was sent away because of the hotel scheme.

"Kimberly, how could you say that? Wouldn't that tip them off?" Jenny panicked.

"What are you scared of? If she did it, why can't I say it?" Kimberly retorted. "To let Fiorello see her true colors, I had to mention the private detective."

Both women were on edge.

Jenny asked, "What's your next move against Maggie?"

"Don't worry, Jenny. I have a plan," Kimberly said confidently.

Jenny was pleased. She had worked hard to make Kimberly believe Maggie was cheating.

To keep Fiorello in the dark, she had to be discreet. She hired a thief to sneak into Fiorello's yard when he wasn't home.

Jenny bribed the private detective Kimberly hired to track Maggie and arranged for the thief to be seen with Maggie.

They carefully chose the angles for the photos.

The thief and the detective didn't communicate, and the thief didn't know Jenny's plan. Even if exposed, Fiorello would find the thief was there to steal, and the detective was hired by Kimberly.

The thief didn't know Maggie.

The detective was just taking photos, and the photos were real. How Kimberly interpreted them was her business.

Jenny's goal was to convince Kimberly Maggie was cheating, not to show Fiorello.

Now that Fiorello knew about the detective, he would investigate. Kimberly had to act fast.

Meanwhile, at Sunset Hills, Maggie felt uneasy. After washing up, she sat alone on the balcony, feeling the breeze.

She sensed something was about to happen.

"Mom, can you tell me a story?" Adalia came in with a storybook.

Maggie snapped out of it and called Adalia over. "Where's your dad?"

"He's in the study on a call." Adalia sat next to Maggie and opened the book. "Mom, let's read Snow White."

Maggie laughed. "Didn't you say you didn't like that story? You even said Snow White was stupid."

"It can be a negative example," Adalia smiled. "Snow White teaches us not to be too kind."

Maggie was shocked. Hearing this from five-year-old Adalia was surprising.

She didn't know if Adalia was right, but sometimes, one couldn't be too kind.

"Alright, let's read," Maggie said, calming herself and starting the story.

After putting Adalia to bed, Maggie saw it was already ten at night, and Fiorello was still in the study.

Maggie put on a coat and went to find him. At the door, she heard him on the phone.

"Check on the private detective Grandma hired. Let them relax, don't tip them off. Check everything, that Peter Lee is suspicious too."

Peter was the thief who sneaked into the yard, the one Ariel said was acting suspiciously, and the thief Fiorello had investigated.

Maggie was confused. 'What does Kimberly hiring a private detective mean?'

She didn't know about Kimberly hiring a detective.

Fiorello's voice continued. "This isn't simple; it's more complicated. Peter doesn't know the detective, yet he gets photographed every time. It's too coincidental. Who has Kimberly been close to lately? Check Jenny's whereabouts too."
