Chapter 627 Baiting with One's Own Body
Upon hearing this, Fiorello and Maggie's expressions tightened.
Fiorello asked coldly, "Jenny has contacted you? You're the father of her child, it's only natural she would."
Maggie deliberately asked Fiorello, "Is withholding information the same as harboring a criminal? Wouldn't that count as aiding and abetting?"
Gregory glanced at Fiorello and said half-seriously, half-jokingly, "The head of the Flores family offering a million-dollar reward, isn't that a bit stingy? If the reward were higher, I might have some clues to provide."
Of course, Gregory wouldn't admit to having seen Jenny; she deliberately spoke ambiguously.
At this moment, the nanny responsible for taking care of Sharon walked over. "Gregory, Sharon is crying and can't be soothed. She must be looking for you."
"You're useless, can't even calm a child," Gregory scolded lightly, then said to Fiorello, "I'll go check on the child first." He then followed the nanny.
Gregory didn't have much affection for this son, but since it was his first child, he occasionally felt a bit of fatherly love.
After Gregory left, Maggie looked at Fiorello. "Do you think Gregory has really seen Jenny?"
"It's possible," Fiorello said. "But don't count on Gregory to tell the truth. The police have been investigating, and Jenny should still be in Cyberland. So, be extra careful when you go out and make sure Brian is with you."
"Okay." Maggie thought about Jenny still being in Cyberland and had an idea.
Instead of being on edge, it was better to take the initiative.
Jenny hated her, that was undeniable. She was the perfect bait to lure Jenny out.
Maggie also reflected on herself. She used to avoid causing trouble for others, but some people would still come after you even if you didn't go after them.
Jenny would definitely not let her go. The hatred between women is something men can't imagine. Just like Isabella's jealousy towards her, if she hadn't confirmed that Isabella had harmed Adalia, she wouldn't have imagined Isabella would hate her so much.
Maggie was also afraid that Jenny would harm Adalia. Some things are hard to prevent, so the only option was to eliminate the threat.
Fiorello and Maggie played with Adalia for a while. When it was time to eat, the family of three went to the living room together.
Gregory was playing with Sharon. Sharon was looking more and more like Gregory, and Gregory's feelings for the child were gradually deepening.
After dinner, Fiorello took Maggie and Adalia back to Sunset Hills without staying overnight at home.
Fiorello knew Maggie wasn't comfortable staying at home. It was where Kimberly had lived, and some things, even if unspoken, were understood between them.
Maggie had also made up her mind to lure Jenny out. The next day, she arranged to meet with Francis. Just as she was about to leave, William arrived with a woman in her thirties.
William introduced her, "Ma'am, this is Celine Wood. Ms. Hughes, Mr. Flores asked me to find a sign language teacher for Adalia."
Maggie sized up Celine. Celine was dressed appropriately and had a friendly face, making her seem very familiar.
Celine wasn't tall, and her appearance was quite ordinary.
Fiorello had chosen her from among many teachers William had found.
To give Maggie a sense of security and avoid unnecessary trouble, Fiorello had chosen someone with an ordinary appearance. Since Adalia was a girl, he didn't feel comfortable hiring a male teacher.
Fiorello had taken a long time to select Celine, who had an ordinary appearance, good character, and was married.
Celine had extensive teaching experience, more than enough to teach Adalia.
Celine smiled and introduced herself, "Hello, I'm Celine."
William said, "Maggie, Mr. Flores asked me to let you decide whether to hire Ms. Hughes."
Maggie nodded. "Since Fiorello chose you, there shouldn't be any problem. Ms. Hughes, my daughter is a bit special, so it might be a bit challenging."
Celine said, "Don't worry, Mr. Harrison has already told me about Adalia's situation."
"Adalia is at the playground," Maggie called Arya and asked her to take Celine to see Adalia.
She had an appointment with Francis and needed to leave quickly.
After confirming Adalia's teacher, Maggie drove herself to meet Francis at a café near Jenny's current residence.
Francis had already investigated the area and often staked it out, so they arranged to meet there.
When Maggie arrived at the café, she saw Francis by the window and walked over, saying directly, "Using me as bait to lure Jenny out, do you have the confidence to capture her?"
