Chapter 272 Losing Money

Maggie looked at Fiorello with anticipation, then glanced at the collar on the ground, feeling a bit worried.

"Can you catch it?"

This rabbit was too smart, and Maggie was worried about wasting ten dollars.

Fiorello smiled, slightly tilting his head and teasing in a low voice, "If I could catch you, catching a rabbit is nothing."

Maggie playfully punched him. "If you miss, you're sleeping on the couch tonight."

The thought of sleeping on the sofa made Fiorello even more determined. The rabbit would lose its life if caught, but he would lose his happiness if he missed.

"Don't worry, honey."

Fiorello's voice deepened as he picked up a collar with his right hand and began to prepare.

The rabbit on the stool seemed to sense danger and started to move around.

More onlookers gathered around, but they were just there for the show. No one really expected Fiorello to succeed.

After all, so many people had tried and failed. Fiorello's failing would be the norm.

William, also among the spectators, said to the bodyguards, "Mr. Flores will definitely catch it. He used to be a shooting champion. It's the same principle; he'll catch it."

The bodyguards echoed, "Mr. Flores can definitely do it."

The stall owner watched with interest as Fiorello grabbed a hoop, his eyes narrowing. With a swift motion, he threw the hoop. The rabbit tried to dodge, but Fiorello's initial fake move misled it, and the hoop landed perfectly.

"Honey, you're amazing," Maggie exclaimed, jumping up with joy.

Fiorello's smile deepened. "I'm happy to make Maggie happy."

Maggie's face turned red instantly, and she gave him a shy glare.

The onlookers were also envious; the couple looked perfect together.

The ring toss owner, after recovering from his surprise, gave Fiorello a thumbs up. "impressive."

A one-dollar cost had just won a rabbit worth over a hundred dollars.

Just as the owner finished speaking, the rabbit used its mouth to remove the collar from its neck, stunning everyone and causing the crowd to burst into laughter.

"You said this rabbit wasn't trained. Look at that."

"Does this count as caught or not?"

"This is the first time I've seen such a smart rabbit."

"It can remove the collar by itself; that's really clever."

The rabbit seemed to be challenging Fiorello.

Fiorello raised an eyebrow. "This rabbit is interesting."

Maggie also found it amazing that the rabbit could remove the collar by itself.

Maggie caught on quickly and said with a smile, "Such a smart rabbit; what do you say about this?"

The owner glanced at the rabbit, reluctant to part with it since it was a money-maker, but he couldn't break his word.

Thinking quickly, the owner smiled and said, "How about this: I'll keep the rabbit and buy it back from you. You two don't seem to be locals, and taking the rabbit back would be troublesome."

The owner was being reasonable. Maggie and Fiorello exchanged a glance, and Maggie said, "Then pay us the market price for the rabbit."

"No problem."

The owner reluctantly lost over a hundred dollars.

Fiorello raised the remaining collars in his hand and said mischievously, "What about the nine collars I have left?"

The owner almost wanted to cry. If Fiorello caught the rabbit every time, he would lose a thousand dollars or more.

"Sir, how about you try for something else? This fluffy bear, girls love it. If you catch it, I'll make an exception. You can get it even if the collar just touches it."

The owner knew how to do business.

Maggie couldn't help but laugh. Fiorello, looking magnanimous, said, "Alright, as long as you keep your word."

The owner laughed heartily and said, "I always keep my word."
