Chapter 337 Stirring Up Trouble

As Kimberly posed the question, Jenny caught on to the unspoken suggestion.

Feeling a surge of happiness, she maintained a nonchalant demeanor and responded, "I'm still flying solo, Mrs. Flores. If you've got any leads, I'm all ears. The family's been dropping hints about me tying the knot soon too.""

"Good to hear," Kimberly expressed warmly, clasping Jenny's hand. "I recall you popping by often as a kiddo, even declaring you'd marry Fiorello someday. I reckon you two would hit it off. How about officially joining the Flores clan?"

Jenny couldn't contain her delight. "Seriously?" she grinned. "I'd be thrilled to be Fiorello's better half, but the man's already taken."

"If you agree, I'll handle it."

Kimberly held Jenny in high regard. Though the Holmes crew wasn't as flashy as them, they made a solid pair. Besides, Jenny had practically grown up alongside the Flores family, which pleased Kimberly even more.

With Kimberly's offer, Jenny sensed she was edging closer to embedding herself within the Flores family.

"Mrs. Flores, I've always harbored a soft spot for Fiorello. When he tied the knot with Maggie out of the blue, I was gutted," Jenny confessed, feigning sorrow. "But I've made peace with it. As long as Fiorello's happy, that's what counts. I appreciate your kind words. Even if I don't become your granddaughter-in-law, I'm content."

Kimberly's fondness for Jenny deepened, feeling a sense of empathy towards her.

"You're a gem," Kimberly complimented, gripping Jenny's hand firmly. "If Fiorello ever walked down the aisle with you, it'd be a dream come true for us."

Jenny blushed. "Mrs. Flores, come on, don't mess around. I heard Fiorello brought Maggie along today. Everyone's buzzing about her. I've laid eyes on her too; she's stunning and seems to match well with Fiorello, but..."

"But what?" Kimberly probed.

Jenny hesitated. "Mrs. Flores, I don't wanna spill too much tea. I just don't want you getting played. Maggie's from humble beginnings. Word is, her folks aren't up to snuff for Fiorello. The Flores name holds weight, marrying a girl from the wrong side of the tracks would be a spectacle."

"What?" Kimberly's distaste for Maggie flared.

Jenny nodded. "Yep, Mrs. Flores, didn't you catch wind of this? Turns out Maggie capped it at high school; college wasn't on her radar. Can't figure why Fiorello would be into someone so green. Maybe it's just her looks."

"Just a high school diploma?" Kimberly's discontent and ire deepened. "Fiorello's acting like a fool. The Flores legacy can't link up with an uneducated lady."

"Maybe Fiorello's head over heels," Jenny remarked, noting Kimberly's mounting anger. "But here's the kicker – word is Maggie can't bear kids. Wouldn't that mean the Flores line hits a dead end?"

Kimberly seethed. She slammed her hand on the table. "This is madness. Fiorello must be under a spell. The Flores legacy can't fizzle out like this."

"Mrs. Flores, take it easy," Jenny advised, feigning concern. "Don't blow a fuse. It's not worth it. And hey, please keep this between us, or Fiorello will hit the roof. I've already crossed swords with Maggie, and he's not pleased with me. On top of that, he fibbed about his fertility for her. Love must have him in a headlock."

"What? There's more?" Kimberly couldn't keep her cool. She rose from her seat. "Where's Maggie? I gotta see who's got Fiorello spellbound."
