Chapter 461 Crocodile Tears
"You regret it now, but you shouldn't have done it in the first place." Joseph sighed. "The Flores Family isn't what it used to be."
The Flores Family used to be tight-knit, with Joseph and Eleanor head over heels for each other. But now, with Joseph's affair and an illegitimate kid in the mix, their marriage was on the rocks, and things would never be the same.
Kimberly's actions had thrown the whole Flores Family into chaos, and Fiorello's anger was off the charts.
Kimberly sobbed. "I didn't know that was really Fiorello's kid. I had someone look into Maggie, and she did cheat on Fiorello. She got pregnant at such a convenient time, of course, I didn't buy it."
Right now, Kimberly didn't realize she had been played by Jenny, falling right into her trap and becoming her pawn.
Jenny never outright told Kimberly what to do, but she nudged her in the right direction, using her without her even knowing.
Kimberly took all the heat, leaving Jenny squeaky clean.
Fiorello, drowning in sorrow, hadn't had the chance to dig deeper.
Joseph said, "Fiorello already said Maggie is carrying his child, but you didn't believe it. You secretly drugged her, causing this mess. What a pity for that poor unborn child. Now you're crying? Those are crocodile tears."
Kimberly, tears streaming down her face, asked, "What happened to the child?"
Joseph replied, "Eleanor found a burial plot and laid the child to rest. Maggie is in the hospital now. When she gets out, who knows what she'll do? If she comes looking for trouble, it'll be a real headache."
"I'm not afraid of her," Kimberly said. "What can she do to me? She's Fiorello's wife; she can't do anything."
Joseph sighed at Kimberly's arrogant tone. She hadn't realized the current situation.
If it weren't for the fear that Fiorello might impulsively come for revenge, Joseph wouldn't be guarding Kimberly every day.
"Mom, you need to put yourself in others' shoes," Joseph sighed. "You should go to the hospital and apologize to Maggie, admit your mistake, and make amends."
"I'm the elder, and she's the junior. I won't apologize to her," Kimberly stubbornly said. "I'm not going, and I won't apologize to Maggie."
Joseph was so angry he didn't know what to say. "What do you want to do, Mom? You're just being stubborn. I can't help you when Fiorello and Maggie come after you."
Kimberly glared at Joseph. "Are you still my son? I never agreed to this marriage in the first place. If she hadn't had her eye on our fortune, she couldn't have married. I think she had ulterior motives from the beginning."
"Mom, you’ve misunderstood." Joseph was exasperated. "Fine, I'm not talking to you anymore. I'm going back to my room to rest."
"Come back," Kimberly called out. "You should pay attention to Gregory and Jenny's situation. Go to talk to the Holmes Family. Gregory should marry Jenny. They've already had sex, and the Flores Family needs to show some respect. I've already talked to Kevin. I want Jenny to be my granddaughter-in-law."
"Mom, please calm down," Joseph said, feeling a headache coming on. "First, you drugged Fiorello, then you drugged Maggie. Are you planning to poison me next? How can you be so troublesome?"
"You can't talk to me like that. I'm doing this for the good of the Flores Family and for Fiorello."
Joseph, helpless, said, "Look at the Flores Family now. Is it any better? Is Fiorello any better?"
Kimberly was left speechless by this.
Joseph didn't want to argue with Kimberly anymore. "Mom, get some rest. I'm going back to my room."
Joseph left directly. Seeing that Joseph wasn't going to handle Gregory and Jenny's matter, Kimberly decided to take care of it herself.
Kimberly wiped her tears with a tissue, took out her phone, and called Jenny. Just moments ago, she was heartbroken, but as soon as she heard Jenny's voice, she immediately put on a smile. "Jenny, I hope I'm not disturbing you."
