Chapter 444 Eating the Drugged Dish

Ariel didn't even blink this time. She twisted off the bottle cap and dumped the pills into her hand.

These were single pills, no way to mix them into food straight up, so she had to crush them into powder.

Ariel finally caved to Kimberly's demands. She had no other option. Just an hour ago, the loan sharks showed up at her place, actually chopped off one of her husband's fingers, and threatened to go after her daughter if they didn't get their money back.

It wasn't just twenty grand anymore; it was a cool million now.

No way she could pay back that kind of cash.

Her daughter was freaking out, scared the loan sharks would come for her next. She called Ariel, begging her to figure something out. If her boyfriend's parents found out about the debt, her marriage would be toast.

As Ariel crushed the pills into powder, she numbed herself, repeating in her head that this was for the best. Maggie had cheated, and the kid in her belly didn't belong in the Flores family.

Thinking like that, Ariel's guilt eased up a bit.

After grinding the abortion pills into powder, Ariel headed to the kitchen and started whipping up some pizza and baked chicken wings.

She mixed the abortion pills into the pizza and baked chicken wings.

Kimberly had promised to hand over twenty grand first, and after the job was done, she'd give the rest of the money and make good on the house promise.

Ariel's hands were shaking, and her heart was racing as she added the drugs, but her fear didn't stop her.

Maggie was chilling in the living room, watching a new product launch from some big international jewelry brand.

She never gave up on jewelry design. Keeping up with the latest trends and knowing what people liked was key to not getting left behind.

Just then, Arya walked in. Seeing Maggie watching TV, she asked, "Maggie, feeling better now?"

"After some rest, yeah, much better," Maggie adjusted her position and smiled. "Mom, I want some juice."

"Alright, I'll get it for you." As long as Maggie was okay, Arya felt happy.

Arya went to the kitchen to grab the juice and saw Ariel making baked chicken wings. She smiled and said, "Smells awesome, Ariel. You gotta teach me how to make this sometime."

Arya's sudden entrance made Ariel super nervous. She forced a smile and said, "Sure thing."

Arya grabbed some fruit from the fridge to make fresh juice for Maggie.

Ariel said, "Arya, Maggie wants juice? Let me handle it."

Arya smiled and said, "I got this. Serving my own daughter makes me happy."

Arya made a glass of juice and took it to Maggie, while Ariel kept cooking in the kitchen.

Soon, the food was ready, and it was more than enough for Arya and Maggie.

Ariel brought the dishes out. "Maggie, Arya, lunch's ready."

Smelling the delicious food, Maggie's appetite kicked in. "Ariel, your cooking smells amazing. I could eat a ton of this."

Ariel, still feeling guilty, said, "Fiorello said you should eat small, frequent meals. I also made fish soup; I'll go get it from the kitchen."

"Thanks, Ariel," Maggie said as she held her waist and sat down in the dining room.

Arya also sat down. "These dishes look super appetizing. Bet they taste great too."

Maggie, feeling hungry, said, "Then I won't hold back. I'll start first."

Maggie picked up a fork and went for the baked chicken wings. The dish smelled really good.

Ariel stopped at the kitchen door and glanced at the dining room. Seeing Maggie grab the baked chicken wings, her heart pounded.

This dish had the heaviest dose of the drug. She knew Arya wouldn't eat much of it, but Maggie loved it. Arya would definitely let Maggie have most of it.

Ariel clenched her hands tightly, watching Maggie put the chicken wings into her mouth. She felt extremely nervous.

Seeing Maggie eat piece after piece, Ariel glanced at Maggie's belly, unable to watch any longer, and went back into the kitchen.

She kept praying in her heart for God's forgiveness.
