Chapter 423 The Scheme
When Maggie heard Isaac mention "Jenny," she got furious.
Jenny had always been a thorn in her side, messing with her marriage. Now, she was using the kids to badmouth Adalia. It was infuriating.
Trying to keep her cool, Maggie told Sofia she was taking Adalia home early.
Maggie looked icy, and Dulce got worried. "Maggie?"
"It's nothing," Maggie said. "Dulce, can you drive us home?"
She'd deal with Jenny later; first, she needed to get Adalia home.
Dulce drove them back, and after Maggie handed Adalia to Arya, she called Emily.
Emily was a socialite and would know where Jenny was. Maggie needed info fast.
In less than half an hour, Emily called back.
Emily told Maggie that Jenny was at a socialite gathering.
Emily sent the address, a high-end club. Maggie took a cab and, using her status as Fiorello's wife, got in easily.
Maggie found out Jenny was on the third floor and headed there.
As she stepped out of the elevator, she saw a familiar figure. 'What is Kimberly doing here?' she wondered.
Maggie hid around a corner and saw Kimberly walking down the hall. Just then, Jenny came out of a private room, smiling. "Kimberly."
Jenny warmly greeted Kimberly, and they walked to the rooftop garden together.
Kimberly had always been in touch with Jenny.
Maggie knew Kimberly liked Jenny and wanted her with Fiorello. That morning at the Flores Mansion, Kimberly had said she accepted Maggie. But now, meeting Jenny here, what did that mean?
In the rooftop garden, Kimberly and Jenny sat down, and someone brought juice, fruit, and snacks.
Jenny smiled and asked, "Kimberly, you called me. What's up?"
"I asked Fiorello's assistant, William. Tonight, Fiorello has a dinner with Mr. Hars from the Hars Group, and there will be drinking. I've made arrangements. Jenny, you need to seize the opportunity tonight," Kimberly said. "Maggie is still restless even though she's pregnant. Last night, I heard quite a commotion from them. It's outrageous. Fiorello has needs. This is your chance."
Jenny got the hint and was secretly thrilled, though she pretended to be shy. "Kimberly, this doesn't seem right. If Fiorello recognizes me, he'll be mad. And if Maggie finds out, it'll cause trouble."
"Just say it was my idea. Don't let Fiorello see your face until it's done," Kimberly said, holding Jenny's hand. "Jenny, it's a bit of a sacrifice, but if you can get pregnant with a Flores child, even better. Fiorello can't hold out long when his wife is pregnant. Once it's done, he can't say anything."
Jenny's heart raced. If she couldn't have it, she'd destroy it. But if she could get it, she'd take it.
With Kimberly's help, Jenny felt more confident about winning Fiorello over.
Joseph had cheated on Eleanor during her pregnancy and had Gregory. Jenny believed she could win Fiorello's affection too.
Jenny nodded. "I'll follow your plan, Kimberly."
Kimberly patted Jenny's hand. "Good girl."
Maggie, who had followed Kimberly, overheard everything.
She could hardly believe Kimberly would think like this.
It was shocking.
Just as Maggie was about to leave quietly, her phone rang. It was Emily.
Maggie's heart raced, and she quickly hung up, but the ringtone had already alerted Kimberly and Jenny.
"Who's there?"
