Chapter 197 Claiming Rewards

Arya hesitated and smiled, saying, "It's okay. Did Doctor Taylor mention when you can be discharged?"
Fiorello happened to come in and said, "Just spoke with Doctor Taylor. You'll need to stay for another half a month for observation."
Maggie had been in the hospital for a month and a half and was feeling extremely bored.
"Fiorello, talk to Doctor Taylor for me. I'm so bored here; I feel like I've already recovered."
To prove her recovery, Maggie deliberately moved her limbs, exerting a force that pulled at the wound on her waist, causing her to inhale sharply in pain.
"Does it hurt?" Fiorello nervously checked. "Just stay in the hospital, honestly. I'm here with you every day. Are you really that bored?"
As Fiorello spoke, he gently massaged Maggie's waist.
Arya also added, "Maggie, you can't take your health lightly. Listen to Fiorello, stay put until the doctor says you can leave. No leaving without permission."
Arya was also worried that if Maggie left the hospital, Ashley might come looking for her. It was safer for her to stay in the hospital for now.
Maggie remarked, "Staying in the hospital costs a lot of money."
Maggie was concerned about the expenses.
Hearing this, Fiorello helplessly patted Maggie's head. "That's not something you should worry about. Focus on getting better. Money can be earned again."
"Life is invaluable; money is useless when life is gone," Arya lectured Maggie. "You should understand this better than I do."
Maggie chuckled helplessly and touched her forehead. "Mom, look, Fiorello is bullying me."
Of course, Fiorello had only lightly touched her.
"Serves you right," Arya chuckled. "Fiorello, if Maggie misbehaves, you should discipline her."
Fiorello smiled. "Sure thing, Mom."
Maggie glared at Fiorello in annoyance.
Fiorello secretly held her hand, hidden behind his back, smiling without a word.
Maggie felt a bit shy when holding hands in front of her mother. She tried to pull her hand back, but Fiorello held it tighter.
Arya, who had past experiences with boyfriends, couldn't ignore the interactions between Maggie and Fiorello.
Arya pretended. "I didn't sleep well last night, Fiorello. I'll rest for a bit. Thank you for taking care of Maggie."
Fiorello replied, "Sure thing, mom. Take care on your way back."
Arya smiled and left, leaving only two people in the ward. Maggie playfully tapped Fiorello's hand. "It's all your fault. My mom saw everything just now."
"Your mother, at her age, definitely understands these interactions," Fiorello said, "Rest well, recover, and I'll bring Adalia to visit you this weekend."
Mentioning Adalia, Maggie truly missed her.
"Alright," Maggie said, "I've been away from the office for so long. I feel a bit sorry. I've only just started my job, and I've been in the hospital for over a month. Will they deduct my salary or demote me?"
"You were injured due to work reasons. Jones has reimbursed all your medical expenses, so focus on resting and recovering. Once you're better, we can think about other things." Fiorello reassured her.
"Angela has returned to AL Jewelry to cover your work temporarily. Your position is reserved for you, and Angela mentioned she returned because of you." Fiorello added.
"Really?" Maggie was thrilled. "Angela is back at AL Jewelry. That's great news. So, my injury wasn't in vain. Now I can rest assured and recover."
Fiorello looked at Maggie indulgently and said, "You're on paid leave to recover. The company will continue to pay your salary monthly, and the headquarters is aware of your situation and will compensate you."
Maggie was touched. "The company truly cares for its employees. The CEO is truly a great CEO. If I have the chance to meet the CEO, I must express my gratitude."
Little did Maggie know the CEO she was referring to was Fiorello.
With a seductive tone, Fiorello whispered in her ear, "I've been taking care of you for so long. What reward do you plan to give me?"
