Chapter 493 Clues Point to Jenny
The handkerchief looked super familiar.
Before Maggie could grab it, Isabella snatched it up and quickly shoved it into her bag, looking a bit uneasy. "What should we eat later?" she asked.
"Let's do barbecue," Maggie said, eyeing Isabella suspiciously. "Since when did you start using handkerchiefs?"
If she wasn't mistaken, she had seen that handkerchief at home.
To be precise, she had seen it with Fiorello.
Fiorello was into handkerchiefs, and they were all custom-made with the best fabrics, often embroidered with "Fiore" or sometimes "Rello."
To shake off Maggie's suspicion, Isabella pulled the handkerchief out of her bag and said, "Oh, this? A new friend gave it to me. She does embroidery, and this handkerchief isn't cheap; it's all handmade."
Seeing that the handkerchief didn't have Fiorello's distinctive mark, Maggie felt a bit embarrassed. She had been too sensitive, linking all of Isabella's odd behaviors to Fiorello.
She was indeed too sensitive.
"Such good fabric, I can tell it's not cheap at a glance," Maggie said, taking out her phone. "I'll send you the address for dinner, you can navigate."
"Okay." Isabella calmly put the handkerchief back into her bag. This handkerchief wasn't the one Fiorello gave her, but there was another one in her bag that was indeed from Fiorello.
Isabella had been worried Maggie would see it.
Maggie had tested her twice today, it seemed Maggie was already suspicious of her.
Isabella was panicking inside, but she pretended to be calm as she drove to the restaurant.
At the cemetery, Kimberly was being buried, and a lot of people came to attend the funeral and say their goodbyes.
Fiorello, dressed in black, also came to bid Kimberly a final farewell.
The weather was drizzly and gloomy, very oppressive.
After Fiorello stabbed himself at home, Kimberly's family and other branches of the Flores family had seen Fiorello's ruthlessness. Today, everyone was sensible enough not to show Fiorello any attitude or make accusations.
After the farewell, people left one by one, leaving only Joseph's family.
At this moment, Gregory, holding a black umbrella and dressed in white, walked over the cobblestone path.
Seeing Gregory's arrival, Holden said with a scowl, "What are you doing here?"
Gregory glanced at the tombstone and Joseph before saying to Holden, "I'm here to bid Grandma a final farewell."
Worried about a quarrel, Joseph quickly said, "Holden, Fiorello, I asked him to come. Your grandma was always thinking about Gregory coming back, so I asked him to come to give her peace of mind, without any regrets."
Hearing this, Eleanor's face turned grim. Joseph was planning to settle Kimberly's unfinished business.
Using Kimberly as an excuse, he wanted to bring Gregory back.
Holden was incredulous. "Dad."
Joseph interrupted, "I have another announcement. Gregory will marry Jenny Holmes, she is already pregnant with the Flores family's child. This is also good news for the Flores family. If your grandma were still alive, she would be very happy to hear this. She always wanted to settle Gregory and Jenny's marriage."
Fiorello, expressionless, bowed to Kimberly's grave and then left without saying a word or looking at Gregory.
His attitude was clear.
Brian, holding an umbrella, quickly followed. "Mr. Flores, your wound hasn't healed yet, slow down."
Fiorello walked to the parking lot, got in the car, and said, "Back to Sunset Hills."
"Mr. Flores, aren't you going back to the hospital?" Brian asked worriedly, "Your wound."
"I won't die," Fiorello said with a stern face.
Since he woke up, Fiorello had become even more intimidating than before, making Brian cautious at times.
Brian started the car and obediently drove to Sunset Hills. Remembering the previous investigation, he said, "By the way, Mr. Flores, the matter you asked me to investigate about Mrs. Flores hiring someone to follow Ms. Miller has been clarified. As you suspected, the person lied; there was someone behind him."
Before Brian could finish, Fiorello completed his sentence. "It was Jenny."
Brian was shocked. "Mr. Flores, you knew all along?"
