Chapter 749 Maggie Has Gone Mad
At the morning meeting, someone took advantage of Maggie's lack of understanding of the company's business, giving a report that was vague and evasive.
Maggie listened attentively, and when she noticed something was off, she casually offered some guidance, which made the other person extremely nervous.
How did Maggie know so much without having worked at the company?
One instance of guidance could be a coincidence.
But the second and third times couldn't just be coincidences.
Seeing that everyone wanted to muddle through, Maggie calmly said, "Everyone's business skills have declined so much; it seems you all want to change positions."
If you lacked the ability, you didn't deserve the corresponding position.
As soon as she said this, everyone became afraid and immediately realized that Maggie was not only difficult to deal with but also incredibly capable and knowledgeable about the company.
Maggie's performance left William and Holden equally astonished. They had thought they would need to guide Maggie, but they found out it was completely unnecessary.
They didn't understand how Maggie was so familiar with the company's business, could accurately call out everyone's names, knew their respective positions, their contributions, and what business they were currently handling.
Maggie knew all of this.
To be precise, what they knew, Maggie knew; what they didn't know, Maggie also knew.
After the morning meeting, everyone who attended had the same thought: Maggie was the second Fiorello, even more unpredictable than Fiorello.
It confirmed the saying that a woman's mind was impossible to read.
Maggie returned to the CEO's office, sitting in the chair Fiorello once occupied. She had never thought she would sit there. She had followed Fiorello to learn management and familiarize herself with the company just to pass the time during her confinement period, never expecting it would actually come in handy.
"Maggie, you're amazing," Holden praised, full of admiration and respect. "You did what I didn't dare to do. I've been fed up with Michael for a long time, but didn't dare to touch him."
Maggie said, "A woman who has lost her husband doesn't need a reason to do anything because they will all think I'm crazy. William, don't give Michael any chances. I believe you can handle this."
William responded, "Maggie, leave this to me."
Maggie then said to Holden, "Find someone to fill Michael's position as soon as possible."
Just as she finished speaking, Steven knocked and entered, "Mr. Harrison, a man named Caleb is here to report. He says Holden promised him this."
Caleb?
Maggie felt the name was familiar. Holden also remembered and said, "Maggie, why not let Caleb take Michael's position? I almost forgot about him. He graduated this year. He was the one who helped find out that Jenny was the one who killed Grandma. Big brother promised him a job at the company after graduation."
Maggie thought for a moment and said, "Since your big brother valued him, he must be excellent. Let him report directly and hand over all of Michael's client information to Caleb. Let him get familiar with it quickly and maintain those clients. Caleb is your responsibility. I'll give him half a month to settle these clients."
If he was well-trained, he would be one of us. If he was not competent, we could replace him in time.
Holden had some concerns, "Maggie, isn't this a bit difficult? Michael's clients are very tough to handle."
Maggie said coldly, "That's not my concern; it's Caleb's problem to solve."
Holden fell silent.
This tone was increasingly like his big brother's.
Soon, the news of Maggie firing Michael spread in the industry.
Maggie not only fired Michael but also used her "craziness" as an excuse to get rid of some ill-intentioned people.
These were people Fiorello had wanted to fire for a long time but hadn't found the right opportunity. Maggie took advantage of the situation and fired them all, compensating them according to the labor contract, leaving no room for complaints.
Maggie even had William buy trending news to make this a hot topic, exaggerating her "craziness" and attributing her actions to the loss of her husband, using emotions to cover up her real intention of firing these people.
When Joseph saw the trending news, he didn't understand Maggie's real intention and thought she was acting recklessly, so he called to inquire.
Maggie said, "This was all Fiorello's idea. Dad, don't worry. I won't act recklessly. Fiorello had long wanted to fire these people but just hadn't found the right opportunity."
