Chapter 605 Encounter at the Prenatal Checkup

As long as there is a one in ten thousand chance, Maggie will not give up. Now with such direct evidence, she has to keep a close eye on Isabella.

Maggie can now control her emotions. She knows very well that only by staying calm can she find her daughter.

When Arya heard that this matter was really related to Olivia and Isabella, she immediately got anxious: "It really is them. Why did they take Adalia? They are so bad. This is not just mischief; we never offended them. Olivia is my sister, and Isabella is your cousin. Just because she likes Fiorello and Fiorello doesn't like her, she becomes twisted and perverted. What kind of people are they?"

Arya was almost dizzy with anger. With just a few words, she saw the essence of the matter.

She also unintentionally hit the nail on the head.

Arya couldn't understand how relatives could do such a thing when there was no deep-seated hatred.

Maggie pursed her lips: "Human nature has no bottom line. It only takes one reason, and that's enough. If Isabella's face hadn't been ruined, she might not have done this. She is in darkness herself and wants to drag those around her into hell as well."

"Isn't that just crazy?" Arya cursed, "She really has no conscience. When Olivia's family was in trouble, I helped a lot. The last time Isabella was in the police station, you helped bail her out. This is just ungratefulness, repaying kindness with enmity."

"Mom, I don't care what they think or feel right now. I want Adalia to come back safely. If anything happens to Adalia, I will never let Isabella go." Maggie stood up and said, "I'm going back to my room to rest. Mom, you should rest early too."

"Maggie, Fiorello has been coming and going early and late recently. You should pay more attention to him and show some care for Fiorello," Arya said. "Fiorello is having a hard time too."

"I know." Maggie returned to her room, but she didn't rest. She leaned against the headboard reading a book, waiting for Fiorello to come back.

Fiorello came back at one in the morning again. He tiptoed in, afraid of waking Maggie. When he opened the door and saw that Maggie was still awake, he scolded gently, "Why are you still up so late? You're pregnant, staying up late is bad for your health."

"I don't feel at ease when you're not here." Maggie sat up.

"Tomorrow is the prenatal checkup. I'll go with you," Fiorello said gently, holding Maggie's hand. "Don't worry."

He knew she was always worried about him.

He kissed her forehead and said, "As long as you and the baby are well, I don't feel tired. Having you both is my entire motivation."

Maggie reached out to smooth Fiorello's furrowed brow and said, "I haven't seen you smile in a long time, Fiorello. Do you know? You look especially good when you smile."

She loved to see him smile. His smile made people happy.

Fiorello forced a smile: "Get some rest. I'm going to take a shower."

"Okay." Maggie also smiled. The more difficult life is, the more you have to face it with a smile.

Maggie lay down in bed, unable to sleep. Not long after, Fiorello finished his shower and got into bed, habitually holding her from behind as they fell asleep.

Maggie snuggled into his arms. No matter how the outside world changed, as long as their hearts were together, she believed everything would pass.

After a long day, Fiorello only found peace and a good night's sleep when holding Maggie.

The next day.

Fiorello postponed his work to the afternoon. In the morning, he took Maggie to the hospital for her first prenatal checkup.

Both of them were somewhat public figures, so they wore masks when they went out and brought a driver. They went to a private hospital.

The private hospital was quiet, with excellent conditions and environment. Fiorello had already made an appointment for Maggie, so they could go directly to the checkup upon arrival.

While Maggie was inside for the checkup, Fiorello sat in the hallway waiting, speaking in a low voice on the phone.

At this moment, Jenny came out of the adjacent examination room and saw Fiorello. She was so startled that she quickly put on her mask.

Jenny had come to the hospital for a gynecological issue and had not expected to run into Fiorello.

This was the gynecology department, so Fiorello must be here with someone.

Jenny immediately guessed it was Maggie.
