Chapter 653 The Final Struggle
Maggie's gaze was instantly drawn to the photo. She picked it up, looked at it, and exclaimed, "Fiorello, you know this Christina too? Why do you have a photo of Christina? Who's the man next to her?"
"Christina?" Fiorello immediately realized something and became nervous. "You know this woman?"
If Christina was getting close to Maggie, that would be dangerous.
"Yes, Francis has met her too. I took her fingerprints to the police station for comparison last time. We first met at a café, and she told me her name was Christina," Maggie explained. "We just met again this morning in the hospital restroom."
Fiorello was frightened after hearing this and said in a deep voice, "This woman is Christina Jones."
"It's her?" Maggie was shocked. "Is she the one who got Holden investigated?"
She had only heard Christina's name before but had never seen her in person.
Fiorello nodded, his expression serious. "Yes, it's her. She's one of Kyle's people. I've had Brian keeping an eye on her. This woman is unpredictable. What did you do when you met her? Did she say anything?"
"I was the one who asked her out. My intuition told me there was something wrong with this woman," Maggie recounted. "Remember the fingerprint comparison incident? I suspected it failed because Christina had fake fingerprints on her fingertips."
Fiorello asked, "How do you know about fake fingerprints?"
This wasn't common knowledge.
Maggie replied matter-of-factly, "I saw it on TV. I've been bored lately, so I've been watching TV to pass the time. Today, I still felt something was off. I saw her with some liquid at the hospital this morning. After asking Dylan about it, I decided to ask her out to investigate."
"And what did you find?"
"She didn't have fake fingerprints on her fingertips," Maggie shrugged. "Dulce said I was overthinking it. Two tests proved I was wrong. But now that I know she's the one who got Holden in trouble, it seems she approached me on purpose. Even if she's not Jenny, she has other motives."
"Don't meet this person again," Fiorello instructed seriously. "Don't get involved in Jenny's matter either. Your task is to take good care of yourself, Maggie. Don't make me worry."
Maggie knew Fiorello would be worried, so she hadn't mentioned it before.
"Alright, I'll listen to you. I won't get involved," Maggie said with a helpless smile. "This is a police matter. By the way, I have another favor to ask. I took a few strands of Christina's hair. Can you take them to Kevin for a test? Since I already have them."
Maggie handed Fiorello a transparent bag containing Jenny's hair.
"Alright, I'll have someone take care of it," Fiorello said, thinking of something. "You said you asked her out. Do you know where she lives? Her contact information?"
Maggie nodded. "Yes."
"Then ask her out again. We can get a lot of information about Kyle from her."
"No problem." Maggie immediately took out her phone and sent a message: [Are you free tomorrow? Let's go shopping. It's boring alone.]
Maggie didn't dare to ask her out tonight, as it might arouse suspicion.
There was no reply after the message was sent.
Maggie glanced at Fiorello. "Maybe she hasn't seen the message yet. Let's wait."
"Alright, if she replies, let me know immediately," Fiorello said. "This Christina is still in contact with Gregory. She's very cunning. You shouldn't meet her again. Just ask her out, and leave the rest to me."
"Gregory?" Maggie asked. "Is Gregory colluding with Kyle?"
"Unlikely. Gregory is probably just watching the drama," Fiorello kissed Maggie's forehead and said, "Rest here for a while. Once I'm done, we'll go back together."
Maggie smiled. "Alright, you go ahead."
Fiorello stood up and called Brian in, handing him the bag of hair. "Take this to Kevin for a DNA test. Let me know the results."
