Chapter 521 Throwing Sulfuric Acid
James hit the ground hard, unable to move his lower body. He looked even more pathetic lying there.
The crowd quickly felt sorry for the pitiful James.
A woman who had just yelled at Isabella angrily shoved her and slapped her across the face. "You're heartless! Look at your man, and you don't even care. People like you deserve a beating."
This woman was known for her kindness and always getting involved in others' business, but she couldn't tell right from wrong.
Isabella, now furious from the slap, pushed the woman back and shouted, "He deserves it! This is what he gets for betraying me. What's wrong with me taking his money? Without me, he wouldn't have made a dime. That money is mine! James, have you no shame? How dare you come to me with this? Why don't you just die?"

Every word from Isabella cut deep. James thought about how everyone despised him, how he once had women flocking to him, how he was promoted to director at the peak of his career, and how Isabella had destroyed it all.
After being sent back to his hometown, his parents barely took care of him and were disgusted when cleaning him. He overheard them saying they wanted to let him fend for himself. In his despair, he came to Cyberland to confront Isabella.
If he really died, it would be too easy for Isabella.

"Isabella, you venomous woman, let's die together." James roared, using all his strength to push Isabella to the ground. He then took out concentrated sulfuric acid from his pocket and splashed it on Isabella's face and body.
Isabella screamed in agony as the burning sensation on her face caused her to cry out. The highly corrosive acid burned her face, neck, and the back of her hands.
The onlookers were so frightened by the scene that they kept retreating.
James watched Isabella writhing in pain on the ground and laughed heartily. "Isabella, you forced me to do this. I won't let you take my money and enjoy it with someone else. You ruined me, so I'll ruin you."
Isabella screamed in pain, her eyes tightly shut. "Help me."
Isabella didn't dare touch her face. She could feel that her entire face had been burned.
For a woman who valued her appearance, this was a fate worse than death.
Isabella was in despair and hatred, but it was all to no avail.
The onlookers called the police and an ambulance. Soon, the ambulance took Isabella to the hospital, and the police took James away.
Olivia received a call from the hospital and rushed over, learning that Isabella's face and neck had been corroded by sulfuric acid, leaving her disfigured and in critical condition. Olivia was heartbroken and burst into tears.
Maggie knew about Isabella's incident from Dulce.
The video of Isabella and James arguing on the street was uploaded online, clearly showing James throwing sulfuric acid on Isabella.
The internet was abuzz with discussions, some saying James was too ruthless, others saying it was Isabella's punishment.
Maggie was shocked by how swift and severe the punishment was.
Dulce said over the phone, "Isabella pushed things too far. A cornered animal will fight back. This is her punishment. For Isabella who loves beauty so much, the disfigurement of her face might be a fate worse than death."
Maggie felt a mix of emotions. Just then, Arya returned with Adalia. "Maggie, you're back. Help Adalia with her homework while I cook."
Maggie said, "Mom, Isabella was splashed with sulfuric acid by James."
"What?" Arya was also shocked.
