Chapter 603 Confirming the Doll is from Isabella

Maggie can't engage in strenuous exercise. After running a short distance, her lower abdomen started to hurt.

She didn't dare to run any further and stopped, clutching her stomach and gasping for breath.

She watched as the Peppa Pig doll ran far away, feeling a bit unwilling. This was a clue she had painstakingly found. Maybe the person who took Adalia was the one with the doll.

Maggie took a deep breath and said to her belly, "Baby, hang in there a little longer. Mommy will find your sister soon."

Maggie glanced at the doll ahead and decided to keep running after it.

Soon, the doll disappeared around a corner, and Maggie became anxious.

She stood at the intersection, looking around, feeling very guilty. She couldn't afford to lose track.

"Maggie."

A familiar voice came from behind.

Maggie turned around and saw Brian had caught the person in the doll costume.

Maggie was very happy and quickly walked over, questioning the person in the costume, "Where did you take my daughter? Was it you who took her?"

The person in the costume looked at Brian and Maggie, and a woman's voice came from inside, "Who are you two? Who took your daughter? I'm not a kidnapper!"

Anouk was gasping for breath, having run for so long that she was almost out of breath.

Maggie signaled Brian to take off the doll's head, revealing the person inside.

It was a woman in her fifties or sixties, Olivia's neighbor.

Maggie pressed on, "If you didn't take my daughter, why did you run when you saw me? Are you not telling the truth? I'll take you to the police station right now."

Anouk was on the verge of tears, "You were chasing me, of course I ran. If you didn't run, why would I run? I don't even know you. Why were you chasing me?"

Could it be a mistake?

Maggie was not convinced and asked, "Why are you wearing a Peppa Pig costume? Where did you get it?"

Anouk was too embarrassed to say she found it. Wouldn't that be a joke?

Anouk stubbornly said, "I bought it. Why do you care why I'm wearing it? Can't I wear it for fun? My grandson likes it, and I wore it to entertain him. Why did you chase me? Let go, or I'll call the police. Bullying me on the street, you guys are too much."

A doll can't prove anything.

These Peppa Pig dolls can be bought anywhere.

Maggie didn't know Anouk, so it might really be a misunderstanding.

Maggie signaled Brian to let go. Anouk snorted coldly and walked towards the apartment with the Peppa Pig doll head.

Maggie was initially in despair, but she saw Anouk heading towards the apartment where Isabella lived and entering the building. She stepped forward and called out to the woman.

"Wait."

Anouk stopped and, holding the doll head, asked, "What do you want, woman? I already said I don't know you."

"You live in this apartment. I think I've seen you before." Maggie remembered, "You're Olivia's neighbor. You live across from her, right? Olivia is my aunt. I've seen you before."

Maggie had seen Anouk a few times at Olivia's door.

Anouk was sweating, her hair sticking to her forehead, and she looked a bit disheveled. She hadn't recognized her earlier.

When Anouk heard that the other party knew her and realized they were after the doll, she thought they wanted to take it back. Anouk got anxious, "You guys are unbelievable. You threw it in the trash, and I picked it up. It's mine now. A doll isn't worth much, and you're chasing me to get it back. That's too petty."

Maggie's heart tightened, "You said you found this doll?"

"Yes," Anouk said, "Olivia threw it in the trash, and I picked it up. If it's in the trash, it means she didn't want it. I picked it up, so it's mine now."

Hearing that Olivia had thrown it away, Maggie was almost overjoyed. "Anouk, say that again. Who threw this doll away? Was it really Olivia? When did she throw it away? Don't worry; I won't ask for the doll back. I want to know if it was Olivia who threw it away."

"It was Olivia. I saw her throw it away with my own eyes. My grandson wanted it, but Olivia wouldn't give it to him. She's so stingy. She'd rather throw it in the trash than let my grandson play with it."
