Chapter 771 Fiorello personally went to the Jackson family

Melissa arranged the dinner at a private restaurant. She went back to tell Ashley about it first, asking her not to spill the beans.

Ashley was stunned when she found out. She had no idea that Melissa had hidden Fiorello.

A slight mistake could lead to disaster.

Ashley was terrified, just like Timothy had been initially, scared out of her wits.

Melissa, however, saw the benefits, wealth, and satisfaction of her vanity and competitiveness that Fiorello could bring her.

Ashley said nervously, "Melissa, I don't want to meet him. I'm scared. That's Fiorello. If he remembers, we're done for."

"Mom, what are you afraid of? He doesn't remember anything, right? Now he wants to meet you guys. Just think of him as Desmond's son," Melissa said, grabbing Ashley's arm. "Mom, my happiness is in your hands. Arya took your husband, and I'm taking Maggie's husband. Isn't that revenge for you?"

Melissa understood human nature. Ashley's displeasure stemmed from Mark's ambiguous relationship with Arya.

Hearing this made sense to her, and Ashley's eyes showed a hint of malice. "That bitch Arya, she's shameless. She doesn't even see what kind of person she is, yet she still managed to seduce your dad."

Melissa remained silent.

She knew Ashley was cursing Arya, but the words sounded strange to Melissa, as if she were cursing herself. After all, wasn't she the one stealing someone else's husband now?

Ashley made up her mind and said, "Melissa, I'll go meet Fiorello. No, now he's called Ryan. I'll get your marriage settled as soon as possible. Arya took my husband, so I'll let my daughter take her daughter's husband. That's fair."

"Alright, I've reserved a table at a private restaurant for seven o'clock. You should get ready; it's almost time to leave," Melissa said, glancing at the clock. It was already past six, and time was running out.

Ashley said, "Okay, I'll go change my clothes..."

Before she could finish, Melissa's phone rang. It was Fiorello calling.

Melissa quickly answered, putting on a gentle face. "Fiorello, I've booked the dinner place. I'll send you the address. You can head over first. I'll have Timothy pick you up. My mom and I will be there soon."

Melissa didn't trust Fiorello to go out alone, so she had Timothy keep an eye on him just in case.

As soon as she finished speaking, Fiorello said, "I'm almost at your house. Let's have dinner at home tonight. It's the first time meeting your mother, and according to tradition, I should come to see her first."

Hearing that Fiorello was coming to the house and would be there soon, Melissa panicked. She looked at Ashley, asking with her eyes what to do.

Ashley was also flustered. This caught them completely off guard.

"Melissa?" Fiorello said again. "I'll be there in about twenty minutes. See you soon."

"Okay, see you soon," Melissa had no choice but to agree through gritted teeth.

After hanging up, Melissa said urgently, "Mom, quickly give the two maids the night off and send them away. We can't let them see Fiorello. If Dad comes back, we might get exposed."

Ashley complied, "Alright, I'll do it right away. But what about dinner?"

"Order takeout. No, takeout won't be fast enough," Melissa said. "Mom, you cook."

Ashley said, "I don't know how to cook. I haven't cooked in ages."

Ashley was someone who didn't even like to step into the kitchen, let alone cook.

Melissa wasn't much better. She had spent her early years in the hospital and never had time to learn to cook.

"Then I'll call Timothy and have him pack the food from the restaurant and bring it in through the back door," Melissa urged. "Mom, hurry up, change your clothes, and send the maids away."

"Okay."

The mother and daughter split up. Ashley gave the maids the night off, and Melissa called Timothy to pack the takeout.

Twenty minutes later, the doorbell rang.

Melissa tidied her hair and clothes and went to open the door, looking gentle and lovely.
