Chapter 429 A Desperate Confession
Fiorello walked in looking cold and stern. Kimberly was so scared she couldn't even look at him, let alone greet him like she used to.
Everyone knew how much Kimberly adored Fiorello.
When Joseph saw Kimberly avoiding Fiorello and then heard what Fiorello said, he immediately guessed something was up.
Kimberly had messed up again.
Fiorello walked up to Kimberly, stared at her for a few seconds, and asked coldly, "Grandma, what are you trying to do?"
His serious tone showed this was no small matter.
Kimberly looked down guiltily, fidgeting with her fingers, sneaking glances at Fiorello.
Fiorello's icy expression was a first for Joseph, and he was surprised.
Joseph tried to mediate, "Fiorello, is that any way to talk to Grandma?"
Then he asked Kimberly, "Mom, what did you do this time?"
Kimberly, not daring to admit it, pretended to be ill, holding her head. "Oh, my head hurts, Joseph, help me back to my room."
Knowing she was clearly faking it, Joseph, worried about a conflict, helped her upstairs.
Fiorello suddenly spoke, "Grandma, it seems you didn't take my previous words seriously. So today, I'll say it again: if you sabotage my marriage with Maggie again, I won't consider you my grandmother."
His tone was calm, but his words were harsh.
Both Kimberly and Joseph were shocked.
Kimberly looked at Fiorello in shock and pain, trembling, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Fiorello, I'm your grandmother. I raised you. When you were sick, I coaxed you to take medicine. When you had a fever, I watched over you. When you were learning to walk, I held your hand. When you fell into the pool, I saved you," Kimberly said, tears falling. She was heartbroken.
Joseph quickly signaled to Fiorello, "Apologize to your grandma. How can you talk to her like that?"
Fiorello didn't actually want to disown Kimberly, but he needed her to learn a lesson. Kimberly was causing too much trouble, and if this continued, his marriage with Maggie would suffer.
With a blank expression, Fiorello said, "Grandma, I remember all the kindness you've shown me, but that doesn't give you the right to interfere in my marriage. I warned you before that Maggie's pregnancy hasn't been easy. I hope you can empathize, and even if you don't like her, don't mistreat her. But what did you do last night?"
Fiorello's sharp gaze made Kimberly avert her eyes guiltily.
Eleanor, hearing the commotion from upstairs, came down and, after hearing Fiorello's words, quickly walked over. "What's going on? Fiorello, how can you talk to your grandma like that? She has accepted Maggie now. She even personally poured water for Maggie and apologized yesterday."
Fiorello acted as if he hadn't heard Eleanor. He looked at Kimberly and asked coldly, "You asked William about my whereabouts. You had the hotel staff open room 1122 for me. You pre-lit an aphrodisiac incense in there. Grandma, when you were scheming against me, did you ever think about Maggie, who is carrying my child? Do you understand what your actions mean for my marriage?"
Joseph and Eleanor were dumbfounded.
Eleanor asked, "What aphrodisiac incense? What room 1122? Fiorello, what on earth is going on?"
Kimberly, unable to bear the questioning, admitted, "I arranged it. I wanted you to be with Jenny. I did it for your own good. I wasn't wrong, Fiorello. I was helping you. Maggie isn't even carrying your child."
