Chapter 775 Wanting Him to Always Be Fiorello
Melissa, who received the call, completely ignored Mark at the hospital.
She thought carefully about what had happened at the Jackson family's place earlier and was terrified. It seemed Fiorello was already suspicious; she had been careless.
How could she outsmart Fiorello?
Timothy came out of the ward and saw Melissa in a hurry. He asked, "What's going on?"
"Fiorello left. He's at the airport now, heading to Cyberland," Melissa said anxiously. "I'm going to the airport to stop him. You keep an eye on things here at the hospital."
Timothy grabbed her. "Melissa, let it go. Just let him go. You've been on edge every day. Have you had a good night's sleep in the past few months? Do you really like Fiorello, or are you just interested in his talents? Or is it just about competing with Maggie?"
Timothy's words calmed Melissa down. She indeed hadn't had a good night's sleep in months.
She was constantly on edge, afraid that Fiorello would regain his memory and remember everything.
In the past, Melissa kept Fiorello around just for his value. But just now, when she realized she might lose him, she finally understood why she wanted to keep him.
Melissa shook off Timothy's hand and said firmly, "I really like him. I want him to be my man forever, not Fiorello. Brother, help me keep him here, please?"
It was the first time Melissa had used a pleading tone with Timothy. Though she was gentle, she was also proud and aloof. No matter how much she wanted something, she would never beg anyone.
Timothy was shocked. He had thought Melissa was cold-hearted, but now he saw a hint of emotion in her.
She was a person with feelings.
After hesitating for a moment, Timothy said, "Alright, I'll go to Cyberland and bring him back for you. You shouldn't go; otherwise, you'll arouse Fiorello's suspicion."
Melissa grabbed Timothy's arm, her eyes pleading. "Bring him back for me."
"Okay," Timothy agreed and left the hospital.
It was already very late, around 9:30 PM.
The night in Lunaris was beautiful. Over Rainbow Bay Airport, a plane was slowly ascending, capturing the entire night view of Lunaris.
It took about two and a half hours to fly from Rainbow Bay Airport to JFK Airport, and it would be almost dawn by the time they reached Cyberland.
Fiorello sat on the plane to Cyberland, looking down at the night view, feeling both anxious and lost.
He didn't know what was in Cyberland that was worth going for, but a voice inside him kept reminding him of Cyberland.
His phone was in airplane mode, so Fiorello couldn't receive any messages. He closed his eyes to rest.
Meanwhile, Timothy, who rushed to the airport, could only catch the last flight to Cyberland to stop Fiorello from meeting Maggie.
Fiorello had too many acquaintances in Cyberland, and Timothy wasn't sure if he could stop him.
Cyberland.
Visionary Futures Group.
President's Office.
Maggie finished reading the last document and looked up at the time. It was almost ten o'clock.
She hadn't been home since last night.
Caleb said, "Maggie, it's very late. Charlie is already waiting downstairs. Why don't you head home?"
During his time working with Maggie, Caleb had come to admire this woman.
With Fiorello around, she could be gentle and dependent.
Without Fiorello, she could support Visionary Futures Group on her own.
Caleb first heard about Maggie because of the case where she was accused of killing Kimberly. Fiorello had brought her in to solve the case, and they had truly interacted over the past few months.
He saw in Maggie a boldness that even many men didn't possess.
She dared to entrust important clients from Michael to a newcomer like him. Such trust and boldness were rare.
"Alright," Maggie said, standing up. "How is William's injury?"
She had been so busy today that she hadn't had a chance to visit William. William wanted to return to work, but she had ordered him to rest for a few days, so he hadn't come to the office.
Caleb replied, "I went to the hospital to check. He had several stitches, but it's not serious. He can be discharged anytime. Maggie, what about Michael?"
Maggie had already asked Caleb to investigate the incident at Happy Pub last night.
The drugs were planted by Michael.
The motive was clear: Michael was scheming against Maggie.
After she was taken away by Ivan last night, reporters had entered the scene. Although they didn't capture any scandalous photos of her and Donald, they did catch Donald with a club employee.
After Maggie left, a club employee had entered the private room to check, only to be pounced on by the drugged Donald. Maggie had even seen the photos of the scandalous scene.
Caleb had bought the photos from the reporters.
