Chapter 391 Lies Exposed

Fiorello tracked down the taxi driver and confirmed Emily had taken the cab back to Cityhomes West. She vanished after entering the neighborhood.

Even though Emily wasn't his biological daughter and was often distant, Fiorello couldn't just ignore her. He asked Brian to help find her.

Maggie felt uneasy and ashamed, struggling to believe Emily could act out just for attention. She worried about what Emily might do once the baby was born.

During the day, Maggie had thought Emily had changed, but by evening, Emily had tricked Adalia into going out.

Arya, who was out searching, rushed back when she heard Adalia had returned.

Seeing Adalia, Arya said, "I'm so glad you're back. You had me worried sick. Why did you leave without telling anyone?"

"I'm sorry, Grandma," Adalia said, hugging Arya and gently patting her back.

Arya softened. "It's okay, as long as you're safe. Where's Emily?"

Adalia whispered, "Emily is missing."

Arya turned to Maggie and Fiorello. "Where is Emily?"

Maggie struggled to answer, "We're still looking for her."

Fiorello said, "Maggie, take Adalia to rest. Arya, you should rest too. I'll update you if we find Emily."

It was late, and Fiorello was concerned about Maggie's health.

Maggie, worried about Emily, couldn't sleep but didn't want to stress Fiorello. She took Adalia to their room.

Adalia asked, "Mom, will Emily come back?"

"She will be found," Maggie reassured her. "Now, go to sleep. I need to make a call."

Maggie called Paul, informing him that Emily was missing and to contact her if he heard anything.

Paul’s voice wavered with anxiety. "I’ll keep my phone with me. Any news, and I’ll call you right away."

The uncertainty gnawed at everyone. It was unclear whether Emily had run away in fear after abandoning Adalia or if something more sinister had occurred.

Despite Brian’s efforts, Fiorello couldn’t pinpoint Emily’s whereabouts. Numerous vehicles had come and gone from the neighborhood since Emily’s disappearance, and it would take time to investigate each one.

That night, Maggie couldn't sleep, worried about Emily. Meanwhile, Emily, kidnapped and taken to an unfinished building, was cold, hungry, and exhausted from crying.

When Paul adopted Emily, she had never been cold or hungry. Now, she missed his kindness.

The next day, there was still no news about Emily, and the house felt gloomy. Adalia felt guilty, thinking it was her fault Emily was lost. She wanted to search for her but didn't know where to start.

Arya went downstairs early to look around, and Adalia asked to join her. Arya agreed.

Brian sent information about the vehicles that had entered and left the neighborhood, and Maggie and Fiorello were checking them. Alan hadn't used his own car, so it showed up as a non-resident vehicle. With many non-resident vehicles leaving, they didn't suspect Alan yet.

Meanwhile, Arya and Adalia ran into Ashley, who confronted Arya.

Ashley grabbed Arya and shouted, "Arya, you shameless woman! You seduced my husband. Now Mark wants to stay in Cyberland and divorce me."

Arya was confused. "Didn't you already get divorced?"
