Chapter 757 Fiorello is Going to Cyberland
Fiorello was full of hope that he would soon find out who he really was.
However, after the policewoman logged into the system to check, she found nothing and asked, "You're not from Lunaris?"
Fiorello furrowed his brow. "What's going on?"
"It's like this, our system can only check Lunaris residents. It's not connected nationwide, so we can't check other places," the policewoman explained. "You're not a local?"
Fiorello himself didn't know if he was or not. He had thought he was, but then he remembered the day he had barbecue, and the waiter said he had a Cyberland accent and was from Cyberland.
Fiorello said, "I'm from Cyberland."
The policewoman said, "Then you'll have to go to Cyberland to check. We can't do it here."
"Thank you." Fiorello felt very disappointed.
After leaving the police station, he had the idea of going to Cyberland.
Fiorello first returned to his place. When Desmond saw him come back, he was overjoyed. "Where have you been? We've been looking for you all morning, and your phone was off."
"The phone died and shut off." Fiorello had turned it off himself and lied casually, "I went for a morning run. I'm a bit hungry. Is there anything to eat?"
Fiorello changed the subject, and Desmond didn't think much of it, saying, "I'll go heat something up for you in the kitchen."
Desmond went to the kitchen and took the opportunity to call Melissa to tell her that Fiorello was back.
Soon, Melissa also returned. She saw Fiorello sitting calmly in the living room, eating sunflower seeds and watching TV, and felt a bit dazed.
"Ryan," Melissa walked over, smiling as she asked, "Where did you go?"
"Morning run," Fiorello replied succinctly.
Melissa didn't know whether to believe him. The surveillance hadn't shown Fiorello leaving, so how did he get out?
Melissa sat down and affectionately took Fiorello's arm, saying, "Ryan, let's get married."
This surprised Fiorello a bit. He discreetly withdrew his hand and said, "I don't think this is the right time."
Fiorello answered very decisively.
"Before your accident, you proposed to me, and I agreed. We were supposed to get married when we got back to Lunaris," Melissa said with deep emotion. "Ryan, I'll help you regain your memory. After this incident, I realized I can't live without you. Let's get married."
Melissa was afraid of any changes and thought that marriage would keep Fiorello by her side.
Fiorello had casually given her some business tips, and she had achieved twice the results with half the effort. She was confident that a strong partnership with Fiorello was the best fit.
Fiorello's expression was indifferent. "Melissa, marriage is a big deal and needs to be approached cautiously, not impulsively. When I regain my memory, if I can confirm my feelings for you, then we'll get married."
If it turned out that everything Melissa said was a lie, that would be another matter.
Fiorello was very calm, and every word he said was irrefutable.
Melissa felt helpless and frustrated. Fiorello wasn't following her plan.
She had heard that Fiorello and Maggie had a quick marriage without any emotional foundation, and they still got married.
But with her, he was so cautious?
"Fiorello, don't you trust me?" Melissa looked hurt but understanding. "Fine, I'll wait for you to regain your memory. I know you're troubled, and I'll always be with you."
Melissa's gentleness and thoughtfulness made Fiorello feel a bit complicated.
"Melissa, I want to go to Cyberland."
Hearing this, Melissa's face turned ugly.
Fiorello didn't have many acquaintances in Lunaris, but if he went to Cyberland, it would be too dangerous.
In the Cyberland business circle, who didn't know Fiorello?
If the Flores family found out that Fiorello was still alive, it would be over.
However, Fiorello's suggesting going to Cyberland must mean he had some suspicions. If she tried to stop him, it would be too obvious and make Fiorello even more suspicious.
Melissa could only agree on the surface. "Sure, what are you going to Cyberland for? I'll go with you."
Fiorello lied casually, "I want to see what the capital is like. My dad said I used to go to Cyberland, but I don't remember, so I want to check it out."
