Chapter 551 Don't Scare Away Happiness

"That was really awkward."

Arya knocked on the door and rang the doorbell, but no one answered. She had a key card, so she just came in.

She was worried that if she left, Mark might be abused by Ashley, so she wanted Maggie to pick him up early. But as soon as she came in, she ran into Maggie and Fiorello.

She hoped she didn't scare Fiorello too much; otherwise, if he couldn't get it up in the future, Maggie would suffer.

Inside, Maggie and Fiorello exchanged a glance. Maggie said, "You should get down."

That was really awkward just now.

Fiorello got off Maggie, clenched his fist, and coughed into his hand. "Um."

Maggie suddenly clutched her stomach. "I'm bleeding a lot."

When she moved just now, it was like a floodgate opening, and she bled a lot.

Maggie quickly went to the bathroom, and Fiorello left first.

At this moment, Brian also arrived and rang the doorbell outside.

Fiorello went to open the door. "Did you track down that person?"

"No," Brian said. "That person injured their right arm. I visited a few nearby hospitals but didn't find anyone getting treated for a wound. The person always wore a mask, so I couldn't see their face clearly. They were very skilled."

"He fought with you and still managed to escape?" Fiorello's expression was serious. "Is he also from the underworld?"

"Seems like it. I've already sent people to investigate," Brian said. "Fiorello, this time the opponent suddenly made a move, and their purpose is unclear for now. But one thing is certain: the person has been opposing you from the shadows."

"Maybe it's not aimed at you," Fiorello frowned. "Now that they've made a move, there will definitely be a next time."

"I think so too," Brian said. "Fiorello, it seems the opponent's background is not to be underestimated. Who have we offended over the years?"

To be precise, who have we seriously offended? If it were someone significant, we would know.

The opponent's social status is obviously very high. If there were a conflict, he would remember.

Fiorello pondered and said, "There are some people in this world who will oppose you even without a conflict. Maybe I'm too excellent and make others jealous."

Brian laughed. "Fiorello, you're really funny."

Fiorello retorted, "Do you think that's impossible?"

"It's possible. I think you make a lot of sense," Brian said. "Fiorello, I'll go visit some nearby clinics and pharmacies again. I don't believe that person won't buy medicine. They can't just let such a long wound keep bleeding."

Fiorello waved his hand. "Go ahead."

After Brian left, Maggie came out of the bathroom. She didn't hear clearly what the two were talking about, only knowing that Brian had been there.

"I think I heard Brian's voice just now. Where is he?"

"He went out to handle some matters."

"Oh, then I'll go find my mom and ask what she wanted from me earlier."

Maggie went next door to find Arya. Knowing Arya was worried about Mark, Maggie reassured her that even if Ashley was angry, she would only take it out on Mark and nothing serious would happen.

They just needed to wait until tomorrow; Melissa would definitely bring him over.

With Maggie's reassurance, Arya felt at ease.

The sky quickly darkened, and Fiorello took Maggie and Arya out for dinner. Maggie asked Fiorello to make a video call to Holden because she wanted to see Adalia.

Holden had taken Adalia to his place and didn't bring her back to the Flores Manor, worried that Joseph wouldn't accept Adalia.

Holden couldn't cook, so he ordered a table full of takeout and was eating with Adalia.

Seeing that Adalia was doing well, Maggie was no longer worried.

After dinner, they didn't stay out long and returned to the hotel.

Maggie was on her period, her legs were sore, and she just wanted to lie down and not move.

Shortly after returning to the hotel, Mr. Ramirez came to see Maggie. Maggie went downstairs to the hotel lobby to meet him.

Mr. Ramirez came to deliver a draft of the equity transfer agreement and an agreement stating that Mark would be under her care in the future, with Melissa and Timothy having no right to interfere.

She needed to be prepared for tomorrow.

Maggie took a preliminary look and said, "Thank you, Mr. Ramirez."

"This is my duty, Miss Miller. I'll come back tomorrow."

"Okay."

Maggie stood up to see him off.

After Mr. Ramirez left, Maggie was about to go upstairs to her room when she saw Ivan, whom she had previously encountered in the elevator.

Ivan was wearing a mask, walking unsteadily as if he might collapse at any moment.
