Chapter 712 A Prophetic Word, Truly Dead
Olivia sneered, "Isabella is mute, just like your daughter, she's mute. Don't think I don't know, this is your doing, Maggie, you have such a vicious heart."
As she spoke, Olivia gritted her teeth, her expression manic. Whenever she mentioned Isabella, she couldn't control her emotions. She hated Maggie, cursing her every day at home.
After seeing the news at Maggie's twins' baby shower, Olivia cursed the two children every day, even cursing Fiorello.
With Fiorello's support, Maggie had a strong backing and such a good life.
Olivia wished every day for the Flores family to collapse, for something to happen to Fiorello, preferably something that would leave no trace of him.
When Maggie heard Olivia's words, she didn't think she was being cruel. She coldly said, "She brought this upon herself. If people don't offend me, I won't offend them. You can choose not to tell me what you know, but Isabella won't have a good time in there. You won't be able to see her, and one day, you might get a call from the prison asking you to collect Isabella's body. Suicide out of guilt is too common."
Maggie's words were purely to scare Olivia into talking.
"Maggie, you vicious woman, if anything happens to Isabella, I'll fight you to the death." Olivia glared at Maggie with bloodshot eyes. "Don't even think about finding out who Adalia's biological father is. You'll never know in this lifetime."
Despite the threats, Olivia didn't reveal anything, which made Maggie suspicious. If Adalia's biological father were really that person from back then, given Olivia's hatred, she would have informed him to take the child and expose Maggie's past.
Why wouldn't Olivia do something that would ruin her reputation, disgust the Flores family, and affect her relationship with Fiorello?
Revealing Adalia's identity was very disadvantageous for her. Both Olivia and Isabella chose to keep it a secret, which was very strange.
Maggie tentatively asked, "Keeping such a tight lip, Adalia's biological father must have a complicated background, or he's someone I know, someone close to me, right? Revealing Adalia's identity would benefit me, so you won't say."
Only if it was beneficial would Olivia keep her mouth shut so tightly.
Seeing that Maggie was close to guessing, Olivia felt a bit panicked.
At that moment, Fiorello came out of the restroom and saw Maggie talking to Olivia outside the KFC. Worried that Maggie might get hurt, he quickly walked over.
Seeing Fiorello approaching, Olivia turned and ran without a word.
Maggie wanted to chase after her, but Fiorello called out, "Maggie, what's going on?"
Maggie glanced at Olivia disappearing into the crowd and said, "Nothing."
Maggie didn't want to say more. Today was supposed to be a happy day out with Adalia, and talking about Adalia's biological father would dampen the mood.
Fiorello, understanding, didn't ask further since Maggie didn't want to talk about it.
After eating at KFC, the three of them went home. However, Maggie's words to scare Olivia came true that very night.
Isabella died of illness in prison.
The prison called to inform Fiorello, and Maggie overheard.
Hearing the news of Isabella's death, Maggie was stunned, unable to describe her feelings.
When she saw Adalia injured back then, she was furious and really wanted to kill Isabella.
After so long, with Isabella really dead, Maggie suddenly felt it was a bit unreal, her expression dazed.
Isabella couldn't bear the burden, and with the poor prison conditions, she fell ill and never recovered.
Her terrifying appearance made her a target of bullying in prison, suffering both physically and mentally, leading to her constant depression.
Even though Fiorello later withdrew the punishment against Isabella, the inmates wouldn't let her go. They took pleasure in bullying Isabella to pass the time in prison.
Isabella could no longer be arrogant in there. Every day, she wrote Fiorello's name on the ground and walls, using her fingertip blood. The infected wounds worsened her condition, leading to a high fever. By the time they found her, she was already dead.
Olivia and Frank received the notification the next day.
Hearing the news of Isabella's death, they rushed to the prison.
Seeing Isabella's cold body, Olivia's eyes went dark, and she briefly fainted.
