Chapter 474 Sentenced to Twenty Years

Mark felt a bit more relaxed after hearing Arya's response. "Arya, if Fiorello says there's nothing to worry about, then let's not stress. Seems like our daughter has some serious skills if Fiorello doesn't want to let her go. As long as he wants to keep Maggie around, we should be okay."

Arya couldn't think that way; she just knew she wouldn't be at peace as long as Maggie was at the police station.

"Mrs. Flores is dead, and the Flores family won't let this slide," Arya said, worried. "This is murder we're talking about. If Maggie goes to prison, it's over."

Mark nodded, realizing she had a point. "Don't worry, I'll be there soon."

"Okay." Arya hung up and started pacing the living room, too anxious to sit still.

"Arya!" Olivia's voice came through even before she stepped inside.

Hearing her, Arya rushed out and saw Olivia standing outside the yard. She quickly opened the door. "Olivia."

Seeing Olivia felt like finding a lifeline. With someone to talk to, Arya's emotions overflowed, and she started crying.

In front of Olivia, Arya didn't need to hold back and could show her true feelings. Fear, helplessness, and worry all poured out, as if she had found her last hope.

Olivia quickly supported Arya, looking very worried. "I saw the news. Maggie committed murder, so I rushed over. Arya, tell me, what's going on? Did Maggie really kill someone? Will she go to prison and face the death penalty?"

Already scared, Arya turned pale at the thought of Maggie possibly facing the death penalty.

Arya tightly grabbed Olivia's hand. "What should we do?"

"Arya, let's talk inside." Olivia felt Arya's cold hands and couldn't help but feel a bit smug. Arya used to always brag about Maggie and pity Isabella. To Olivia, Arya's concern for Isabella was fake, just a show.

When Isabella had her accident, Olivia cried every day and was extremely worried. When Arya came to comfort her, Olivia thought Arya was kind. Now that she didn't need Arya anymore, looking back, she felt Arya was just pretending.

The past kindness and gratitude were all forgotten. The sisterly bond was insincere and fragile.

Arya and Olivia went inside. Every time Olivia came to this villa, she couldn't help but feel envious. Such a luxurious place, and she didn't get to live in it, but Arya did, which made her uncomfortable.

Olivia actually looked down on Arya, thinking she only got to live in the villa because of Maggie.

But Olivia didn't show it and continued to comfort her, "Arya, don't worry. The verdict isn't out yet. By the way, what does the Flores family say?"

Arya cried. "I don't know. I called Fiorello, but he didn't say how they would handle it. I'm worried she'll really face the death penalty. It's all my fault. Yesterday, Maggie told me she wanted to eat my roasted chicken wings. I should have sensed something was wrong. Maggie asked me to take good care of Adalia, which was like leaving a last message. She had already planned to seek revenge on Mrs. Flores."

"Maggie was too impulsive. It's such a pity," Olivia said urgently on the surface, "It's not worth it. She just lost her kid, and now she's in the police station. Fiorello is still so young. The one who died is his grandmother. Can he really forgive Maggie? Once this is over, Maggie will be in prison, and Fiorello will marry a new wife. He won't lose anything. Men are rarely sentimental."

Olivia's words made Arya even more anxious and fearful. "What should we do?"

Arya was very worried and didn't know what to do to save Maggie, constantly asking what to do.

Instead of comforting her, Olivia continued, "I consulted a lawyer. In this situation, Maggie will get at least twenty years. If the Flores family continues to pursue it, Maggie will face the death penalty."
