Chapter 657 No Escape
Jenny quickly mounted the motorcycle, and Ivan drove through the crowd.
Main Street was crowded, with many alleys, and pedestrians were dodging out of the way.
Seeing this, Saskia tore off the fake belly from her stomach, quickly analyzed where Ivan would go next, and took a shortcut to intercept them.
Brian also arrived. A young guy next to him was riding a motorcycle, and he threw a stack of money at him, saying, "I'm buying your bike."
Brian was in a hurry to catch up with Jenny and didn't have time to explain to the guy. He grabbed the motorcycle and took Saskia to chase after them.
Saskia asked, "That man just now, he's with Jenny, so why did he block the knife?"
Saskia had been puzzled. Even if Ivan hadn't blocked the knife, she would have been fine. She had such a thick fake belly on that it couldn't be pierced.
Brian was equally confused. "That man is one of Kyle's people, and so is Jenny. I thought he was going to hurt you."
Back in Sunshine Bay City, Brian hadn't seen the man's face clearly, only fought with him. It was through the fight that he recognized him just now.
Now wasn't the time to think about why the man blocked the knife; they needed to catch Jenny.
Under Saskia's direction, Brian took a shortcut and quickly caught up with Ivan.
Ivan's wound on his waist was still bleeding. The stab was deep, and after fighting with Brian, the wound worsened. If he lost too much blood, both he and Jenny would die here.
Seeing Brian catching up, Jenny shouted anxiously, "Ivan, hurry up, they're catching up!"
"Why are you yelling?" Ivan snapped impatiently. "Who told you to hurt Maggie? Stupid, you exposed yourself and dragged me into this. Call Kyle and get someone to pick us up."
Jenny took out her phone to make the call while blaming Ivan. "Why did you protect that bitch, Ivan? I noticed you were different with Maggie before. Do you like that bitch? If Kyle finds out, you know what the consequences will be."
When Jenny was about to stab Saskia, Ivan indeed thought it was Maggie and instinctively blocked it.
In all his years, Maggie was the first person to show him any concern. He would always remember the care she showed him back in Sunshine Bay City.
For someone who had been in the dark for so long, a little warmth, no matter how insignificant to others, was unforgettable.
"You're overthinking it," Ivan said coldly. "Just make the call."
He couldn't hold on much longer.
Jenny called Kyle, who, upon learning the situation and that Jenny had gotten Ivan hurt, was so angry he wanted to kill Jenny.
He considered Ivan a subordinate, but Ivan was also his brother. He couldn't just leave him to die, so he sent people to help.
Ivan drove the motorcycle into an alley, with Brian following closely. Ivan wasn't familiar with the roads here and hoped to lose Brian by making turns, but they ended up in a dead end.
There was no way forward.
Jenny cursed angrily, "Ivan, are you stupid? What now? There's no way out. That bitch Maggie got lucky."
She still couldn't figure out how she had exposed herself in front of Maggie.
Ivan turned the motorcycle around, with Brian right behind him. They were very close to each other.
Their eyes met, and the air was thick with killing intent.
Brian said, "Today, none of you are getting away. You can't hold on much longer."
Ivan sneered, "We'll see about that."
Brian felt a thrill of facing a worthy opponent and secretly signaled Saskia to get off the bike. Ivan also signaled Jenny to get off.
Jenny got off and hid to the side. With no way back and Brian in front, it was hard to escape.
Ivan touched the wound on his waist, took off his jacket, tied it around his waist to slow the bleeding.
Ivan got off the bike, and so did Brian. Ivan stretched his legs and charged at Brian, who also rushed forward. They fought again.
With excessive blood loss, Ivan, even if he tried to hold on, was no match for Brian. He was quickly kicked to the ground, spitting blood.
Seeing this, Jenny knew Ivan was no match for Brian. She quietly took the opportunity to run away while they were fighting.
Saskia noticed Jenny's movement and immediately chased after her. Before Jenny could get far, a car blocked her path.
