Chapter 211 Maggie Learnt the Truth

Maggie recalled her previous doubts and suddenly became nervous.
Maggie urgently asked, "Michelle, you said my mom is looking for a child from four years ago? What does that mean? What else did my mom say?"
"You are Arya's daughter, don't you know about this?" Michelle said, "Here's the thing: some time ago, I ran into Arya by chance, and she inquired about the child who was sent to The Angel Adoption Agency four years ago. She said it was for a friend. Arya's friend lost a child four years ago, the one left at the doorstep of the adoption agency. I checked, and during those months, the adoption agency didn't take in any girls."
Maggie must be clear about Arya's friends and relatives.
In these years none of Arya's friends had a child four years ago.
Arya was not young anymore. At Arya's age, her friends were in their forties or fifties; why would they have children?
Arya is lying.
Maggie thought of that dream, of Sam's strange words before.
She remembered the unease in her mind when Ann was giving birth.
Maggie suddenly realized something: her whole body went numb, and she felt cold all over.
The child was lost four years ago; was it Maggie's child?
Maggie's head suddenly ached, she couldn't recall the lost memories, no matter how hard she tried, it was all a blank.
Maggie tried to steady her emotions and asked, "Michelle, what else did my mom say about that child? When was it lost?"
Michelle said, " Arya told me that was in the winter four years ago, but our adoption agency didn't have that child. The adoption agency has been closed now, the children have been transferred to other adoption agencies, or some have been adopted."
"Thank you, Ms. Garcia; I will pass on your words to my mother." Maggie tried to calm down.
Michelle said, "Alright, tell Arya for me, I won't come anymore; I'm immigrating to another country next week to live with my children."
"Okay." Maggie saw Michelle off and then sat alone on the sofa, carefully recalling what had happened.
Especially Sam's words; just thinking about them made her scared.
Maggie grabbed her keys and quickly left. She didn't have time to pack Arya's clothes, so she took a taxi to another maternity center.
Maggie was eager to know if the child left at the adoption agency was really hers.
Did Maggie really have a child?
At the hospital, Maggie immediately registered, requesting a gynecological examination to check if she had given birth.
After a series of examinations, an hour had passed, Fiorello called Maggie, asking if Arya's clothes were packed and if she needed a ride.
Maggie made up an excuse and waited for the doctor to call her in, holding the test results to ask the doctor.
While waiting, Maggie was extremely nervous, biting her nails unknowingly until they broke.
Suddenly, the system showed it was Maggie's turn. Holding the test results, Maggie nervously entered the doctor's office.
"Doctor," Maggie sat down.
The doctor said, "Let me see the results."
Maggie handed over the results. The doctor looked at them and said, "You seem fine in all aspects, very healthy. The injury on your waist is new; you need to take good care of it."
Nervously, Maggie asked, "Doctor, can you tell if I have given birth?"
The doctor was taken aback by Maggie's question. She should have known whether she had given birth or not.
The doctor glanced suspiciously at Maggie and said, "Are you married?"
Maggie nodded. "Yes, I am."
The doctor smiled and said, "Do you not know if you have given birth? Isn't that something you should be aware of?"
Maggie actually found the question a bit absurd.
"Doctor, just tell me, have I given birth or not? Shouldn't these results show it?"
Adjusting his glasses, the doctor put down the results and said, "Based on the examination, you have indeed given birth, and it seems that the childbirth back then didn't heal properly. Are you wondering if you can still have children? Any concerns about that?"
