Chapter 320 Mark's Calculations

Arya's change of mind to return to Cyberland took Maggie by surprise.

Just yesterday, she had been urging Maggie to fight for a third of the Jackson family's inheritance, and now she had given up.

Maggie couldn't stay in London forever either. She had to return to the company, and Adalia had been with Eleanor all this time—she missed Adalia dearly.

"Alright, I'll ask Fiorello when he's planning to go back," Maggie said. "He's meeting a client right now and will be back later."

"Fiorello is here?" Arya recalled seeing Holden at the mall and asked, "Did Fiorello come with his cousin?"

"Fiorello arrived last night, and Holden came with me yesterday," Maggie explained, "And Holden isn't Fiorello's cousin, but his real brother."

Now that Arya had seen Mark's true colors and was planning to return to Cyberland, Maggie saw no reason to hide the truth.

"Real brother?" Arya was puzzled. "How can that be? I thought Fiorello was an orphan."

Maggie laughed. "That was Fiorello's ruse. When I mistakenly met him at Mocha Haven Cafe for a date, he played along, and we ended up getting married. He's actually the owner of Visionary Futures Group, and Holden is his real brother. His aunt and uncle are his real parents."

Arya was bewildered. "Maggie, let me get this straight. Fiorello wasn't your date, and his aunt and uncle are his real parents? Why does Fiorello's whole family deceive people? By the way, what does the owner of Visionary Futures Group do?"

"He's just the boss of a big company," Maggie replied, "I didn't know Eleanor was actually my mother-in-law before, but now that I do, I should formally visit her."

Arya couldn't grasp all of this, but she was still pleased when Eleanor was mentioned.

"Yes, you should indeed. You didn't know her identity before, but now that you know, as the junior, you should pay your respects—it's a matter of etiquette," Arya said, "Your in-laws are good people and treat you well. I'm happy about that. But do they know about your past?"

"I've only confided in Fiorello," Maggie said, "Fiorello thinks there's no need to bring up the past."

"That's true. You're living well now, and if you bring up the past,  that may upset Fiorello's parents and affect your relationship. It's better to let it be."

Maggie pursed her lips and said, "I still need to find that child. We'll talk about it when the time comes."

"Why are you so stubborn?" Arya sighed.

Maggie changed the subject. "I'll send Fiorello a message and ask when he'll be done."

She had to find that child; otherwise, it would be a lifelong regret.

Arya planned to return to Cyberland, and as long as Ashley and Mark didn't cause trouble, Maggie didn't intend to expose Ashley's kidnapping plot. However, she would keep the evidence, as it might be needed in the future.

Maggie sent Fiorello a message. At that moment, Fiorello was at a high-end club by the London river, having coffee with Celeste, the chairperson of BrightWave Technologies Inc.

Celeste was particularly enthusiastic about Fiorello's visit. She had cleared her schedule for the day just to make time for him.

Celeste, nearly forty years old, was known in the industry with abilities and methods that rivaled any man's. However, in front of Fiorello, she showed no pretense.

"Mr. Flores, I've been looking forward to your visit to London for a long time. Now that you're finally here, you must stay a few more days and enjoy the sights of London."

Fiorello glanced at the message from Maggie with a smile on his face, and said to Celeste, "You're very hospitable. I'll definitely visit often when I have the chance. London is a wonderful place."

Celeste, being astute, had already learned that Fiorello's visit to London was not for business. She refrained from discussing business matters and focused instead on building a closer relationship, which she knew was more important.

Establishing a friendship would naturally lead to opportunities for collaboration.

Celeste followed up, "Next time, I hope Mr. Flores will bring Mrs. Flores along to have a good time in London."

"Certainly." Fiorello raised his coffee cup. "However, this time, Mr. Bary should visit Cyberland. On the 8th of next month, if Mr. Bary is available, please come to Cyberland."

Celeste was aware of the Visionary Futures Group's anniversary celebration and was delighted to have been invited.

"Absolutely, I'll be in Cyberland on the 8th of next month. Young people today are very impressive. I still have much to learn from Mr. Flores," Celeste Bary said humbly.

Fiorello replied, "Mr. Bary, you are too modest."

After receiving Maggie's message, Fiorello decided not to stay much longer. He politely declined Celeste's invitation to dinner and found an excuse to leave after their conversation.

Celeste stood up to see him off, accompanying him to the entrance of the club.

At that moment, Mark, who was feeling aggrieved, arrived at the club with a client and happened to see Fiorello with Celeste.

In London's business circles, everyone knew Celeste.

Mark was astonished and thought, 'He's actually with Mr. Bary.'

Celeste was being exceptionally courteous to Fiorello. No one else in London's business circles had been treated by her this way.

She even personally opened the car door for him.

The man next to Mark remarked, "Celeste is really something. I wonder what she did to get the owner of Visionary Futures Group to come all the way from Cyberland. You have to admire her. If word gets out about Celeste meeting with the president of Visionary Futures Group, BrightWave Technologies Inc.'s stock will surely rise."

Hearing this, Mark was shocked and asked, "The owner of Visionary Futures Group? Where?"

"The man who just got into the car. Mark, are you out of your mind? You don't recognize the owner of Visionary Futures Group?"

"He's the owner of Visionary Futures Group?" Mark was stunned and then realized why Fiorello had seemed familiar to him before.

He thought, 'Maggie has married the president of Visionary Futures Group.

'That makes me the father-in-law of the president of Visionary Futures Group.'

Mark was overjoyed, unable to contain his laughter. "I never thought I'd see the day."

"Mark, what's going on?"

Mark laughed and said, "That man is my son-in-law. I'm the father-in-law of the president of Visionary Futures Group."

The man scoffed, "Mark, you must be drunk. Your daughter is in the hospital. When did she get involved with the president of Visionary Futures Group? You must be dreaming about your daughter marrying into the Flores family. I heard Fiorello is secretly married."

Mark ignored his friend's mockery and laughed. "I have an older daughter. And that's Fiorello's wife."

"I think you're really drunk," the man said, not believing him at all.

Mark couldn't be bothered to explain. Overwhelmed with joy, he said, "I have some matters to attend to. We'll discuss the winery business another day."

He needed to reconcile with Arya and Maggie quickly. Now that he was the father-in-law of the owner of Visionary Futures Group, he had powerful backing and didn't have to worry about Ashley's family causing him trouble anymore.
