Chapter 658 Jenny Gets Caught
Blocking Jenny's way was a police car.
Immediately, several police cars arrived, blocking the road. Sirens blared, and several officers pointed their guns at Jenny. Leading the team was none other than Francis.
Jenny knew she was finished.
She was really unwilling to accept it; she hadn't managed to kill Maggie yet.
Francis stared at Jenny. "Jenny, out of all the cases I've handled, you're not the most cunning, but you're the one who has taken the most time. You escaped twice; you're the first to do that."
With Kyle's help, Jenny had completely changed her appearance and identity, making it really hard to find her.
Jenny sneered, still stubborn. "I'm not Jenny."
Francis didn't want to hear anything Jenny had to say. It was all clear, and she still wouldn't admit it?
Francis told his men, "Take her away."
Jenny was handcuffed, and in the alley, Ivan was also struggling to hold on.
He couldn't afford to be caught.
Ivan forced himself to keep going. He noticed that the alley wasn't a dead end; there was a very narrow gap between two walls, only about 20 cm wide.
Without hesitation, Ivan tore down a sheet hanging in the alley to disrupt Brian's view, then quickly squeezed through the gap between the walls.
By the time Brian caught up, Ivan had already squeezed through.
Kyle's men arrived just in time to pick him up. Ivan got into the car and quickly left.
When Brian got through the gap, Ivan was already gone, leaving only a trail of blood on the ground.
Kyle personally came to pick up Ivan. After getting in the car, Ivan leaned back, pressing his hand against the wound on his waist.
Seeing the blood, Kyle's face darkened. "Useless. How did you get hurt? You couldn't even take down Brian?"
Jenny hadn't mentioned on the phone that Ivan was injured.
Hearing Kyle's scolding, Ivan didn't bother to explain. Pale-faced, he said, "Kyle, Jenny was taken by the police."
"That's her own fault." Kyle's face was grim. "Why were you on Main Street? Why were you mixed up with Jenny?"
"It was a coincidence." Ivan didn't dare say more; he didn't have the strength. His limbs were starting to go cold.
"You come with me and leave Cyberland." Kyle naturally didn't want Jenny to drag Ivan down.
The news of Jenny's capture quickly reached Fiorello as well.
Jenny was taken by the police, and Brian called to report the situation.
Meeting Kyle's people at the coffee shop was really unexpected.
Jenny had called out Ivan's name at the coffee shop, which could provide some clues.
As for Ivan protecting Saskia, Brian didn't mention it to Fiorello.
No one knew what Ivan's intentions were, but it was certain that Ivan was Kyle's man and was in cahoots with Jenny.
With Jenny captured, Maggie felt relieved.
Joseph was also very comforted and could finally give Kimberly some peace.
Gregory also received the news of Jenny's capture while he was playing with his son.
Hearing the news, Gregory felt a bit melancholic.
Gregory said to his bewildered son, "Your mom is still as foolish as ever."
Sharon could now stand up and say a couple of words.
Suddenly, in her sweet childlike voice, Sharon called out, "Mommy."
Gregory felt a pang in his heart, realizing that his son needed a mother.
"Sharon, Daddy will find you a new mommy." Gregory found it easy to find women, but finding a wife who met his standards was another matter.
As his son grew more like him, Gregory's love for the child deepened.
In this world, his child was the only one who truly belonged to him, his closest kin.
Gregory smiled and pinched Sharon's little nose, showing a bit of fatherly affection. "I won't let you walk my path."
He didn't want his son to suffer the same hardships he had.
They say a mother's love begins the moment a woman becomes pregnant.
A father's love begins when the child is born.
Once indifferent to everything and only wanting to fight Fiorello, Gregory now began to take on the responsibilities of a father, planning for his son's future.
With Jenny captured, Francis personally interrogated her. At first, Jenny refused to confess and tried to play tricks.
Francis placed a paternity test in front of her. "You and Kevin are biological father and daughter. You say you're not Jenny? What more evidence do you need? We can provide it all. I have plenty of time to waste with you."
Jenny was speechless, tightly closing her mouth, still refusing to speak.
Francis leaned on the table with both hands. "Prison escape, attempted murder, and today you injured someone with a knife at the Starbucks on Main Street. Refusing to plead guilty and not cooperating with the investigation will only add to your charges."
