Chapter 584 Wedding Crisis
The touch in his hand indeed gave Gregory a familiar feeling.
Gregory took another look at Jenny. The touch was similar, but she looked completely different.
Jenny was a wanted criminal and couldn't possibly appear here in public.
Gregory dismissed the thought and flirtatiously said, "Miss Jones, you're really beautiful. Let's be friends."
Jenny didn't want to engage with Gregory, but she couldn't show it too obviously. She forced a smile and said, "Thank you."
Gregory wanted to get to know Jenny better, but Jenny was scared and made an excuse to go to the restroom.
Donald teased Gregory, "What, you fancy Miss Jones? She's quite a beauty."
Gregory sneered, "Have you been with her?"
"No, I haven't," Donald laughed. "Miss Jones isn't an easy catch. She's very capable and a hardworking good girl."
This made Gregory even more interested.
Time was running out. In the lounge, Maggie was touching up her makeup when Adalia ran in, "Mom, you look so pretty."
"Sweet talker," Maggie laughed. "Go find Grandma and don't run around."
There were many people at the wedding, and Maggie was worried about Adalia running around alone. She couldn't keep an eye on her.
"Okay, I know," Adalia said. "I'll go find Dylan."
Adalia liked to stick with Dylan these days.
"Alright," Maggie smiled. "Walk slowly, don't run."
"Got it," Adalia replied but ran out anyway.
Adalia didn't go to the wedding hall but was attracted by a stuffed toy.
Someone dressed as Peppa Pig was standing in the hallway, waving at Adalia. She ran over with a smile.
The mascot stood still, and Adalia happily reached out to touch it. "So pretty, I love Peppa."
The person inside the mascot stared intently at Adalia and extended a hand, offering her a piece of candy.
Adalia took it with a smile. "This is Peppa's candy."
The person inside the mascot didn't speak but gestured for Adalia to eat the candy.
Adalia unwrapped the candy and tasted it. "It's so sweet, but it has a strange taste."
Adalia felt dizzy and soon passed out.
Arya was looking for Adalia at the wedding when Mark saw her and asked, "What are you looking for? Hurry and take your seat; it's about to start."
"Adalia ran off somewhere," Arya said. "Adalia, running around today."
"She might be with Dr. Mason. She likes Dr. Mason now," Mark said, pulling Arya. "Let's get back to our seats."
Time was up.
The guests were all seated, and the wedding host took the stage to start the ceremony.
Fiorello stood on the stage, nervous and expectant, his eyes fixed on the other end of the red carpet.
When the host said, "Let's welcome our bride," the entrance doors were pushed open. Maggie, in a white wedding dress, stood at the door, escorted by Mark, and slowly walked in.
Maggie's veil was 9 feet long, made of shimmering fabric that sparkled under the lights, looking particularly beautiful.
Maggie's wedding dress wasn't revealing; it had long sleeves and was custom-made with hundreds of tiny diamonds embedded in it. As she walked, it reflected dazzling light. Tonight, Maggie was the brightest star.
Fiorello gazed at his bride, recalling their moments together, feeling deeply moved countless times.
He was marrying the woman he wanted to spend his life with.
Maggie walked step by step towards Fiorello, memories of their journey from meeting to falling in love flooding her mind. Unknowingly, they had come so far.
Fiorello stepped off the stage and walked towards Maggie. Standing together, they embodied all the beautiful words in the world.
Mark also moved Maggie's hand to Fiorello. "Now I give Maggie to you. You must love her, protect her, and never hurt her."
"Don't worry, Dad," Fiorello said, looking deeply into Maggie's eyes. "I will make her happy."
