Chapter 242 Fear of Death was Instinctual
Kathy covered her head with both hands, her legs weak on the ground.
Although she was greedy, she didn't dare to do this.
Each time she visited Fiorello, she had prepared ahead of time, committed her lines to memory, and honed her adaptability skills.
When the gun was pointed at Kathy's head, she was truly terrified and blurted out everything.
"Ms. Holmes told me to do this."
Kathy shook her head. "It's not my fault. I was forced."
Upon hearing Jenny's name, Fiorello was not surprised at all, but Holden was greatly shocked.
"Why her? Why would she do this?" Holden couldn't understand and asked Fiorello, "Fiorello, how did Jenny know about you sleeping with someone five years ago?"
Fiorello put away the gun, looked coldly at Kathy, and uttered a single word: "Get out."
Kathy was let go, but she was still a bit reluctant to leave the money behind.
She regretted it now. If she had taken the $5 million last time, she wouldn't have been so blinded by money.

Eleanor glanced upstairs a few times. "Why hasn't she come down yet? Did Fiorello really do something to Kathy?"
Jenny said, "Aunt Eleanor, don't worry. Fiorello will handle it. By the way, Fiorello was married; why hasn't Maggie come through this door? Last time at the hospital, it seemed like Maggie didn't even know Fiorello's identity."
This was a leading question. Jenny was testing Eleanor's reaction.
"As for this matter, I'm quite angry. Fiorello got married, but he hasn't brought Maggie back," Eleanor said, "When will I be able to have my grandson?"
Jenny smiled forcefully. "It seems Aunt Eleanor really likes Maggie. I heard Maggie only graduated from high school and came from an average family."
"Maggie is beautiful and kind, and most importantly, Fiorello likes her. Besides, the Flores family doesn't rely on Maggie to make a fortune; it's just an added bonus." Eleanor was very open-minded. Holding Jenny's hand, she said, "Jenny, I’ve always liked you very much. Last time, I didn't try to match you with Fiorello. How about considering my second son?"
This caught Jenny off guard. She wanted to marry Fiorello, not Holden.
Holden was not as outstanding as Fiorello.
"Aunt Eleanor, this..."
Before Jenny could finish speaking, Kathy hurriedly came down from upstairs.
Seeing this, Jenny felt uneasy but pretended to be calm and asked, "Ms. Nelson, what's going on?"
Kathy glanced at Jenny and said nothing, quickly walking away.
Kathy was thinking about making a quick escape. Otherwise, Jenny wouldn't be able to keep the twenty thousand dollars she had given her.
Eleanor was also curious. "How did this happen?"
Jenny, aware of her discovery, dared not remain any longer. "Aunt Eleanor, I have something to do, so I'll leave now. I'll come back another day to accompany you."
She had originally come to watch the excitement, but now that the drama hadn't unfolded as expected, she almost got herself into trouble.
Eleanor said, "Jenny, why are you leaving too?"
Jenny left quickly, and Holden came down from upstairs. "If she doesn't leave soon, Fiorello might not be able to resist hitting her. She's going too far, even involving the Flores family."
Eleanor listened in a daze. "Holden, what do you mean? What do you mean by going too far?"
"Kathy is the one Jenny brought in," Holden complained, "I think she has a bad mind, and her actions are too unethical."
"How could it be Jenny?" Eleanor was shocked and couldn't believe it.
Meanwhile, Maggie took Adalia to the mall to buy clothes, and she received a call from Laura. Laura was free in the afternoon, and I invited her for coffee to formally thank her.
Maggie also wanted to learn more about what happened back then, which might help her find her daughter.
She took a taxi with Adalia to the place where she had agreed to meet Laura. Laura saw Maggie with her daughter and said, "Maggie, you're married now, and your daughter is so big."
