Chapter 124 Fiorello's Machinations
Jenny said disdainfully, "Fiorello is just playing around. That woman doesn't even know Fiorello's true identity, so he's cautious around her. It's just a fling, and once Fiorello loses interest in Maggie, she'll be dumped."
Benjamin shook his head and laughed, "You don't understand men."
Jenny looked displeased. "How could someone like Maggie be worthy of Fiorello? She's not fit to be the mistress of the Flores family."
"It's not for you to decide, but for Fiorello," Benjamin said confidently as he stood up. "Anyway, I'll be the groomsman." Benjamin took a few steps and added, "By the way, someone like Fiorello, with his status and position, doesn't need to embellish anything when choosing a partner. He just needs to follow his preferences. The simpler the woman, the more he will like her."
Despite holding a high position and navigating the cunning business world, Fiorello often longed for a simpler woman. Maggie embodied this simplicity, and Benjamin noticed during dinner that, while Fiorello appeared to be taking care of Maggie, she also made an effort to take care of him, even picking out onions that he didn't like.
Jenny coldly snorted, "Let's see how long they can last. That woman is probably pretending, She's just good at acting."
Benjamin ignored her and simply asked, "Did you notice that Maggie picked out the onions when she was putting food on Fiorello's plate? Do you know why she did that?"
Jenny hadn't noticed and didn't know why. She instinctively asked, "Why?" However, Benjamin just smiled and didn't answer.
Despite expressing her admiration for Fiorello and the Holmes family having some connections with the Flores family, Jenny didn't even know that Fiorello was allergic to onions.
After leaving the private restaurant, Maggie and Fiorello went to a private cinema. Remembering their experience, Fiorello was thoughtful this time. He chose a private theater with a single room and a large bed for lying down, perfect for couples.
Maggie held a tub of popcorn and looked at the bed in surprise, then glanced at the huge screen. She was stunned. "Fiorello, how did you find this cinema?"
'It's more like a sleepover than a movie night. If they were watching something steamy, things might heat up.'
Fiorello said seriously, "I found it online, and the reviews were good. Shall we start watching?"
"What movie did you pick?" Maggie wanted to know the genre before deciding to watch.
Fiorello took out two movie tickets and said, "Criminal Record, it's a suspense film."
Maggie nodded. "Sounds exciting."
Luckily, it wasn't a romantic film like the last time. Otherwise, she would worry that Fiorello might do something to her.
The theater was dimly lit, and they lay down to watch the movie. Fiorello held Maggie close, and Maggie nestled into his embrace. The first half of the movie was normal, but the second half took a different turn. Although it was a crime documentary, the suggestive scenes were more intense than before.
As the suggestive scenes appeared, Maggie's heart raced. She also felt Fiorello's hands becoming more daring, wandering around her waist. Trying to remain composed, Maggie didn't respond. But Fiorello became more and more excessive, he directly reached inside.
Maggie didn't even notice when the movie ended or what the ending was. When they left the cinema, Maggie's cheeks were still flushed. She glared at Fiorello and said, "I need to use the restroom."
Fiorello smirked, "I'll wait for you at the door."
Taking her bag, Maggie headed to the restroom. Fiorello's actions had been forceful, and she felt a bit sore. Now every time she saw Fiorello, she felt nervous. If he started again, it would be scary.
After touching up her makeup, Maggie tidied her hair and clothes before leaving. Unexpectedly, she bumped into an old acquaintance at the corner.
Jane looked surprised to see Maggie, and there was a hint of panic in her eyes. Considering the cinema was for couples, most people there were couples. Maggie was also surprised to see Jane there and wondered, 'Has Samwise been discharged from the hospital? Who did Jane come with?'
Maggie stared at Jane without saying a word, and Jane, seeing that Maggie was alone, remembered what Samwise had said. Her gaze towards Maggie turned disdainful.
"I never expected this. You live up to being the campus queen bee. You sure know how to have some fun."
